I wish to apply for the above mentioned post in with your reputable organization, Street Child.

I hold an M.Sc. Mass Communications from the National Open University of Nigeria.

I have been working with Radio Gotel, Yola,  a private radio station in Yola, Adamawa state
capital, for the past twelve years. Currently, I am the Head, News unit.

As a news editor, I coordinate and preside over editorial conferences, leading to the production
of the main bulletin. I also assign stories and other editorial tasks to reporters.

As a journalist, I have flair for writing. Apart from editing reporters’ stories, I do write and present
commentaries. Moreover, I am a bilingual poet, composing in both English and Hausa.

It will interest you to know that I am a certified Professional Speech writer and Event Manager,
having undergone a six months course, with a reputable Institute in Yola.

I also attended several training sessions by recognized organizations, including the BBC Media
Action, the News Agency of Nigeria and the Daily Trust Newspaper on various aspects of writing,
journalism and broadcast contents production.

Consequently, I have admirable written and oral communication skills. I speak English and Hausa
Languages fluently.

Additionally, I have a vast knowledge and experience in communications for development, media
and public relations, and good knowledge of website and good working of social media
handles. I also have a good understanding of the situation in Northeast Nigeria, as currently I live
in Yola, Adamawa state. As a result, I am ready to work in a team towards achieving the desired
goals.
