My educational background began in 2019 when I pursued a

Baccalaureate in Foreign Language Literature. During high school, I
achieved the top position on the male list. Subsequently, within three
months, I enrolled in a technical program at the National Institute of
Audiovisual in Algeria as part of an internship. This experience allowed
me to undergo training at the National Public Television, where I gained
valuable expertise and honed my skills. Concurrently, I took extra
courses in office automation and video editing.

After three years of dedicated effort, I earned my diploma as a Senior

Technician in Audiovisual, specializing in Image. This achievement was
primarily due to my final project, a short movie that earned a remarkable
grade of 15.5/20 and secured the top spot in my class, as it was a solo
endeavor.

Following one year of work in national production, I was selected to

enter the Graphic Design National Institute and after first. Despite this
opportunity, I am keen to enhance my proficiency and abilities in related
fields to excel in my career. Consequently, I believe that the University
of Otago offers the ideal platform to help me achieve these goals.

One of the significant challenges I have encountered is the constant

struggle with the financial aspect, which is something we all need to
address regularly. Despite possessing creativity, innovative ideas, and
the capacity for achieving my ambitions, the budget has been a persistent
concern, especially considering the mid-level living expenses of my
family in Algeria. It has been a challenge to make ends meet and afford
even the basic necessities, such as daily food.

One particular moment of hardship was during the final project of my

Senior Technician degree, where I was required to create a short movie.
The financial constraints made it even more challenging for me to
complete the project, but I refused to be deterred. Through sheer
determination and resourcefulness, I found ways to overcome these
obstacles and achieved my goals, refusing to let financial limitations
hinder my progress.
 Leadership:

In both my academic and professional life, I have consistently

demonstrated strong leadership skills. I am the go-to person for innovative
solutions and have earned the trust of my superiors, granting me access to
artistic and leadership responsibilities. Among my peers, I am viewed as a
reliable leader, always ready to offer advice and support, understanding
their emotions, and respecting their opinions. My ability to inspire and
guide others has led to me being sought after for advice and assistance in
various projects and situations. I take pride in fostering a collaborative
and supportive environment wherever I go, making me a dependable
leader in both school and work settings, as well as within my social circle
and community. For example:

1- At my workplace, despite having only four months of experience in the

company's production department, my boss has entrusted me with
significant responsibilities. When he is absent due to enrolling in two
parallel jobs, he appoints me to take charge and fill his role. This shows
the level of trust and confidence he places in my abilities.

2- In school, I am consistently seen as an experienced and knowledgeable

individual. Whenever there's a presentation, project, or classroom issue,
my peers turn to me for leadership. They value my guidance and
expertise, and I am often chosen to lead these endeavors due to their trust
in my capabilities.

3- Within my community, I have become a reliable source of advice and

support. When someone wants to initiate a project, they seek my opinion
and guidance in its inception, and I am frequently asked to lead the initial
phase. Even during football matches, others designate me as the captain
due to the respect I have earned through my fair treatment of everyone.

As part of my extra-curricular activities, I find joy and

inspiration in photography, particularly capturing the beauty of
nature with my DSLR camera. Immersing myself in nature
while photographing it allows me to experience positive vibes
and sparks my creativity.

Additionally, I am an avid sports enthusiast and engage in

various sports as my preferred form of recreation and extra
activity. Participating in sports not only keeps me physically
active but also serves as a source of enjoyment and relaxation.
My passion for sports is an integral part of my life beyond my
academic and professional pursuits, allowing me to maintain a
well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle.

 Financial circumstances:

Our family's financial circumstances can be described as

average and moderate, with an annual income of approximately
50,000.00 Algerian Dinars (DA). We work diligently to manage
our expenses and meet our daily needs within this budget.
While it may not be extravagant, we are grateful for the
stability it provides and strive to make the most of our
resources. Our financial situation has taught us valuable lessons
in budgeting and the importance of careful planning for the
future. We remain committed to improving our financial well-
being through hard work and responsible financial choices.

Receiving a scholarship to study at the University of Otago

would be nothing short of a lifesaver for me. The financial
support provided by this scholarship will alleviate the
tremendous burden I currently face, ensuring that I can pursue
my education without constant worry about financial
constraints. Not only will it ease the strain on my family's
financial situation, but it will also have a profound impact on
my mental well-being.

With the weight of financial worries lifted, I will be able to

concentrate wholeheartedly on my studies, devoting all my
energy and passion to excel in my chosen field. This
scholarship represents an opportunity for me to unleash my full
