1. Why is there a need to revise the curriculum from time to time?


Answer:
Revising the curriculum from time to time is essential for several reasons, as education needs to
adapt to the changing needs of society, advancements in knowledge and technology, and evolving
pedagogical practices. Curriculum should be revise from time to time because some of the curriculum is
obsolete and need to be change. So that we can achieve our goals and reviewing curriculum means
considering what we have work and did not work. Revising means making changes for future use.
Societal, economic, and technological changes constantly reshape the skills and knowledge required
for success in various fields. As teaching methodologies evolve, curriculum design must also adapt to
incorporate innovative and effective instructional strategies. Revising the curriculum provides
opportunities to implement new teaching techniques, technologies, and approaches that can enhance
student engagement and learning outcomes. Curriculum revision is part of an ongoing cycle of
educational improvement. It reflects a commitment to providing the best possible education to students
by adapting to the changing educational landscape and seeking ways to enhance learning outcomes.
Curriculum revision is a dynamic process that allows educational institutions to stay responsive,
relevant, and effective in their mission of preparing students for success in a rapidly changing world.

2. What is problem-centered approach in curriculum designing?


Answer:
The problem-centered approach is a method or perspective used in various fields, such as
education, psychology, social work, and problem-solving disciplines, to address issues, challenges, or
situations by focusing on the specific problems or issues at hand. This approach involves identifying
and analyzing the root causes of a problem and then developing strategies, solutions, or interventions
to address those causes and ultimately resolve the problem. Problem -centered approach is a design
draws on social problems, needs, interest and abilities of the learners. Example of this is a life-situation
design, core design. A problem-centered approach might involve designing curriculum and teaching
methods that focus on real-world challenges and encourage students to actively engage in problem-
solving. The problem-centered approach is a systematic and structured way of addressing complex
issues by prioritizing the understanding and resolution of the underlying problems.

3. Name 3 instructional leadership skills that help school environment conducive to learning.
Answer:
Here are some of the instructional skills:

a. Communication Skills - A instructional leader must able to effectively communicate their


intensions regarding student’s education. This may involve emails and other written communications, or
it could mean holding meetings with teachers to set goals and assess lesson plans.

Team building and collaboration – As the role ultimately responsible for the success of a
school, an instructional leader must be adept at uniting the staff and students to further the creation of
new ideas and teaching methods. They must be able to create a dependable team that works together
to create a more effective and positive learning environment.
c. Trustworthiness – A positive and fair leader easily earns the trust of their staff, allowing the
staff to look to the leader in good times as well as challenging times. A good instructional leader can
remain clam and fair during a discussion for people present opposing ideas, weighing the merits and
draw box of each while gathering feedbacks from other members of staff who would be affected by any
changes in plans. An inst4ructional leaders balances judgement leads their teachers to trust and
respect them and these trust helps build a united educational community.
