Berendo Bengkulu city

Berendo Bengkulu city is a square

or Berendo Hidayah which was built by
the Bengkulu City Government (Pemkot)
and will become a new tourist icon in
Bengkulu City. Berendo, which is located
in the At Taqwa Great Mosque area,
Anggut Village, is in the city center and
close to access to culinary centers. Apart
from being a large and magnificent place,
Berendo can not only be a place for
Muslims, but all religions can visit it. "All
religious people can gather here, not just
Muslims, so this place can be a vehicle for
hospitality," said Sulaiman, coordinator of
the At Taqwa Great Mosque, Dedy said,
the construction of the Hidayah berendo
square has entered the completion stage,
and will later become an icon for the city
of Bengkulu. The purpose of this
development is in line with the program,
one of which is always glorifying guests
when visiting the city of Bengkulu. When
visiting and seeing the progress of the
construction of the Berendo Hidayah
square, Dedy Wahyudi admitted that he
was amazed by the magnificent building of
the square which presented a beautiful
view or atmosphere in the city of
Bengkulu.

“Alhamdulillah, I am currently at the

Berendo Hidayah square. The construction
has entered the completion stage. This
square will certainly become a tourist
destination, resting place, family
gathering place and a place to carry out
other positive activities," said Dedy when
visiting the Berendo Hidayah square early
last year. Dedy explained, apart from
these things, the Berendo square can also
be used as a center for activities, because
the Berendo square is located at the At-
Taqwa Mosque. And that's not all, Dedy
again mentioned, Berendo will also
become a tourist center. "This square will
become an icon for the people of
Bengkulu City, and there will also be a
tower approximately 60 meters high
which will be equipped with an elevator.
From that height above the tower we can
see the beautiful view of Bengkulu City
from a height," said Dedy.

At first glance, the Alunalun or

Berendo of the Great Mosque of At-Taqwa
Bengkulu looks more like a palace during
the colonial period than it looks like a
mosque in general. The mosque, which is
the pride of the people of Bengkulu, was
built near the house of the first Indonesian
President, Soekarno, when he was exiled
by the Dutch colonial government. The
resemblance of this mosque to the model
of a colonial-era palace building can be
seen from the garden which is quite large
with the style of arrangement like a
garden in the courtyard of the presidential
palace or a small square in the courtyard
of the palace. (Pearl) As a Bengkulu
tourist area, Berendo is one of the most
visited locations by the public for
sightseeing by offering beautiful views. In
order to increase its tourism value,
Berendo square is being discussed as a
reference park for local and foreign
tourists. Apart from being a tourist spot,
Berendo is also suitable for relaxing.
Visitors can see the beauty of Bengkulu
City from a height by climbing to the top
of the tower.
