II. Project Description

A. Rationale (include background of place, needs, assessment results, social

investigations)

Rational I: Providing cleaning materials and trashcans.

We all know, Mangrove is one of the tourist spots in Lobo Batangas,
We need to maintain the beauty of its surrounding by providing some equipment
needed for their faster and easier way of cleaning. Having access for cleaning
materials, it will be easier for them to undertake when there is coming out storm,
such as having more amount of junked at the edges, particularly after outbreak.
Such like trashcan. For those materials, we avoid putting garbage for
somewhere part of mangrove. Goodness for the visitors coming from this place.
It is the sign of discipline when we ate something with a piece of plastic, we put
on the proper trashcan near on them. Do not go anywhere to throw the trash.

Rational II: Implementation of coastal clean up
To have good outlook, we must work. Our group is proposing coastal
cleanup. We need to maintain the cleanliness of mangrove area. Particularly at
the seaside. As we all know more people coming from mangrove as main
reason is to walk in. We prevent further propagate of garbage. When the
number of participant increase, the number of garbage decrease. Well
cooperation is proposed.

Rational III. Giving school supply of chosen local elementary student near
on place.
It is observed that there are many kids nearby the Mangrove, so the
group decided to give some school supplies we can collect through the project.
Particularly the students who can join the cleanup drive can be given some
school supplies. It is also a way of encouragement for them to clean the coastal.

B. Objectives:
• To maintain Lagadlarin, Mangrove Forest Coastal cleanliness
• To provide additional cleaning materials
• To provide additional trash cans.
• To give school supplies to some local elementary students

III. Project Management

A. Management viability
1. Services and assistance offered
• Coastal Cleanup
• School Supplies Donation
• Cleaning Materials Donation
2. Implementation schedule (or plan of action)

The action plan is the dissemination of information about the negative

side effects of not preserving our coastal and mangrove areas, what are
the risk factors when it comes to their negligence at keeping the
cleanliness at places such as the mangrove and coastal, through social
media platform such as Facebook and pamphlet to be disseminated at
the project site to spread the information.
The group is also planning to use social media and do a house-to-
house solicitation to fund the project. The fund raised through the
solicitation will be used to buy some cleaning materials and additional
trashcans to be used by the Mangrove Officials, to maintain the
cleanliness of the place. The other fund raised will be used to buy some
school supplies to be given at the students residing near the project site
to help and encourage them to participate in project such as these.
