3. Technical Specification

3.1 Introduction
NEA, Upper Trishuli 3A Hydro Power Station, Salletar, Rasuwa intends to purchase different
Valves for Power house's Technical water supply system.
The manufacturers of the GOODS supplied under this contract must have valid ISO 9001
certificate and the quality of the GOODS must meet according to ISO/SAE/AWS/ASTM/
BS/DIN/NS/IS or equivalent international standards from all respect. The Bidders are strictly
advised to submit the original Product’s technical Data Sheet, other specifications of relevant
manufacturer that will be helpful in judging the quality. The NEA reserves the right to decline
the acceptance of proofs which to its own judgment are not convincingly satisfying for the
intended use.

3.2 Scope of Work

The scope of work under this covers the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning
of Technical water supply system Valves at UT3A HPS as stated accordingly in the Bill of
Quantities and Technical Data sheet. The goods to be supplied under this shall meet the
standard according to relevant to ISO/SAE/AWS/ASTM/BS/JIS/DIN/NS/IS or equivalent
standard in all respect of engineering design, manufacturing and operation point of view. The
Bidder must submit the detail product data sheet, material test certificate helpful to justify them
for intended use. Purchaser reserve the right to decline the acceptance of the Goods, which to its
own judgment are not found suitable for the intended use. The Technical Specification of the
items is as specified hereunder.

Notes:
Bidders are strictly advised to complete the TECHNICAL DATA SHEET and submit the
detail catalogue that justifies the filled data, as required; otherwise, the BID might be
treated as NON-RESPONSIVE BID.
Non-acceptance by the bidder for the requirement mentioned as above Technical Data
Sheet shall consider being non-responsive bid.
The GOODS and services supplied under this contract should meet the relevant
equivalent standard in all respect of engineering design, manufacturing and operation
point of view.
Locally casted and made valve are not accepted

3.3.2 Pre-dispatch Inspection and Tests

1. A pre-dispatch inspection of the manufactured Valves shall be done for BOQ 1 and 2
items only.
