1. Attached is the DRRMS Memorandum -07-12-2023-0003, dated July 12, 2022 and
Advisory dated July 13, 2023 from Atty Christian E. Rivero, EdD, Director IV, Disaster Risk

2. The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management service (DRRMS) will be conducting a
National Simulation Exercise for the Rapid Assessment of Damages Report (RADaR) App. This
exercise serves as one of the culm.inating activities for the 2023 National Disaster Re§Hience
Month, and aims to rigorously test the recently deployed bug fixes and assess the timeliness of
submissions through the app.

3. The National simulation Exercise is scheduled to take place on July 31, 2023, with a
deadline for submissiofl set on August 7, 2023. Given the significance of this event, it is
•imperative t.hat each sc.hoot DRRM coordinator .is thoroughly prepared.

4. The Disaster RIsk Reduction and Management service (DRRMS) issues this advisory
regarding the National Simulation Exercise for the RADaR App, which was originally scheduled
to take place on July 31, 2023. After due consideration of the urgent concerns expressed by our
DRRM coordinators., we have made the decision to postpone the activity until further notice.

5. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

regarding the National Simulation Exercise for the RADaR App, which was originally
scheduled to take place on July 31, 2023. After due consideration of the urgent concerns
expressed by our DRRM coordinators, we have made the decision to postpone the activity
until further notice.

The DRRMS will identify an alternative date for the simtilation exerdse that aligns with
the school calendar. Once the new date has been definitively estabfished, we will issue
another advisory to inform you of the updated schedule.

Meanwhile, we would like to request all division DRRM coordinators to reiterate the
following instructions and armouncements in order to ensure effective communication and
comprehensive preparedness for the forthcoming exercise :

1. To ensure effective communication and timely dissemination of instructions and

armouncements related to the exercise, all school DRRM coordinators are required
to join the DRRMIS Facebook Group at httos: / /www.facebook.com /groups /drrmis.
All inquiries and clarifications will also be answered through this chalmel.
2. To guarantee seamless cormectivity and optimize the functionality of the RADaR
App, DRRMS would like to emphasize the importance of registering the SIM card
associated with your DRRM Information System account prior to July 25, 2023 to
avoid permanent deactivation. Detailed information on the SIM card registration

3. To equip the coordinators with comprehensive knowledge arid proficiency in
utilizing the RADaR App, you may access the provided instructional manuals and
supplementary reading materials available at: http: / /bit.1v/ RADaR Resources.
4, To assist in these preparations, the DRRMS instructs all coordinators to review the
infographics we have prepared. These infographics are accessible at the following
