According to one of the senior students that I have interviewed, iba-
iba po ang set-up per department. On their case, alternating yong
schedule ng kanilang internship. Ibig sabihin, 1 whole sem for acads
then the remaining semester is intended for their internship. They
also have 1 designated COE Coordinator per department. Yung
coordinator nila ang nag aasikaso ng partnership with the 10 chosen
host establishments which includes the preparation of Memorandum
of Agreement, monitoring of the status of the interns as well as si
Coordinator din ang nagcocollect ng requirements before and after
the internship, and all interns are asked to render 360 hours.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

 So the internship is covered by an official request from the
student’s OJT coordinator addressed to the Museum Director or
contact Florante A. Cruz, the University Extension Specialist II
and the Coordinator for Extension as well or send an email at
services.mnh.uplb@up.edu.ph
Interested students or interns can also write a specific museum
curator specially if they are particularly interested in a specific
field of study. They will be able to try and find an internship for
fellows based on their qualifications and capabilities.
So once they are in, interns should work for 150 to 250 hours in
order to be given a certificate of completion and internship by the
Museum and the proper rating and assessment of their
accomplishments for their academic requirements.

SOUTHERN LUZON STATE UNIVERSITY

So I have in here an article on the implementation of the internship
program of SLSU in partnership with the Department of Labor and
Employment as well as the Local Government of Lucban, Quezon.

I interviewed one of their students as well. He is from the College of

Teacher Education and according to him is yong set-up ng kanilang
internship sa Department nila is parallel ang scheduling. They take
acad subjects in between their internship. As far as I can remember
3days for internship then 2 days for acads. Then 1 COE Coordinator
per curricular programs, they have I think 5 under their kase meron
silang Elementary Education, Culture and arts education, Secondary
Education, Technical livelihood education saka Bachelor of Science in
Exercise and Sports Science. Then the required hours for their
internship is 360.

LPU MANILA INTERNSHIP PROGRAM…
So they have a very specific and step by step internship procedures.
First, syempre the student needs to be enrolled on the practicum
subject.
 Secondly, the interns need to attend the Internship orientation
kase don sa kanila iiissue yong certification that would serve as their
pass para sa Gold Slip Mock Interview. Kasama din sa orientation
syempre the familiarization of the policies and procedures of the
Internship Program as well as the requirements needed to pass
the Program.

Thirdly, they are asked to join the Official FB Page ng CSI dahil
don ipinopost ang schedule of class meetings, assigned internship
coordinator, Internship openings and Employment opportunities
as well, deadlines ng requirements and other related internship
announcements.

Fourth, is the Gold Slip Mock interview. The aspiring

interns would be interviewed by the Executive Director. Iaassess
sila based on their competencies then iisuehan na sila ng Gold
slip which is necessary for the Recommendation letter. The
interns are also asked to attend symposiums and seminars and
next to that is the choosing of the internship sites. They could
decide whether they do it local or international depending on
their courses, they could also ask their designated coordinators
for assistance.

In between their internship, they would be asked to attend class

meetings para sa follow ups and status ng kanilang internship.

Next to that is the passing of the complete internship

requirements like the evaluation from the host establishment para
ma-encode na ang kanilang grades.

Upon finishing the internship, nag coconduct si LPU ng Jobfair.

They invite industry partners for possible employment
opportunities para sa mga graduating students. They are
required to attend that Jobfair kase don iniissue yong slip para
makapag process sila ng School clearance.
