The village Shive is located in Khed Tahsil
of Pune District in the State of Maharashtra in India. It comes under Khed Community Development Block. The nearest town is Alandi, which is about 50 kilometers away from Shive. Project undertaken in shive Village Union Science and Technology Ministry were undertaken a project called solar thermal power plant is slated to come up. Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State for Science and Technology, laid the foundation stone of the plant. The project is being funded by the Science and Technology Ministry while the design, development and the technical knowhow has been given by Thermax Limited. Villagers of Shive have given their land for the project.
The power plant is built on three acres of land in Shive
village near Bhama Askhed dam. The project would cost Rs 14.9 crore, out of which the ministry had given Rs 13.01 crore while Thermax have spent Rs 1.78 crore. Conclusion
