WORKSHEET No. 1
SOCIAL STRATIFICATION
Activity 1 CONNECTION + EFFECTIVITY = CONNECTIVITY
Direction: Use the three words or concepts to make significant statements.
1. How can you compare yourself to some learners in the Philippines facing
the same mode of learning today?
In the society, there is a term called social standing which is the position of a
person about the status pertains to wealth and rich and social stratification refers to a
ranking of people or groups of people within a society. As a member of a middle-
class family in our society, for example, in my experience most private schooler
belongs to the upper class due to their tuitions and other miscellaneous and if a
middle class and lower-class student study in the private school, it will not weigh the
same with upper classes their financial education. Private schools are capable for
comfortability such as air-conditioning, comfortable chairs, comfort rooms and they
have an accessibility to the new mode of teaching technologies and when compared
to the public school, it can be accessible but through years of processes and division
distribution of funds. Due to the high heat index today, public school learners are
more than affected and can cause them heat exhaustion that challenges them to
learn.
2. How will you react to the economic situation of some workers here in
the Philippines in his time of pandemic?
3. What is your realization of the way our country is fighting this health
crisis?
class status role
Society is diversified in terms of its class, status and role. Where class, refers to
the socioeconomic divisions within society based on factors such as wealth, income,
occupation, and access to resources, status refers to an individual's position or rank
within a social hierarchy, often influenced by factors such as occupation, education, or
reputation, role refers to the function or responsibility that individuals or groups have
within a society. With this, the realization of the way our country is fighting this
health crisis is to address the dissimilarities of every people whose part of it. The
government provide many programs of assistances to satisfy the differences of
needs of every member. Each segment of government plays a role on
addressing the health crisis, with healthcare professionals, government, and the
public all contributing. Addressing disparities and fostering cooperation can lead
to a more effective and equitable response.
