Dear Sir,
After examination of the specified documents below, please find the observations that we can formulate at present within the scope of the mission
referenced here above.
Best regards,

S03 WALLS W3/W4 DETAILS 2. The model shows a structural instability that requires rectification.
S04 WALL W5 DETAILS 3. The vertical seismic load effect should be included in the ASD (SLS) seismic load
CORE WALL CW DETAILS 4. The live load coefficient in combinations ULS3 and ULS4 (combination 12-5 in section
S10 – S11 – S12 – S13 – S14 1612.2.1 of UBC 97) should be 1.1 instead of 0.55 for parking areas and for live load values
RAFT REINFORCEMENT LAYOUT exceeding 4.9 kPa (basement floors, ground floor, and mezzanine floor).
S15 FOUNDATIONS DETAILS 5. The assigned superimposed dead load for Basement 2 upper slab is null. However, a minimum
value should be considered.
S16 COLUMNS LAYOUT – BAS.1
6. The dimensions of structural elements in the model should be consistent with the structural
S17 COLUMNS LAYOUT – GF
drawings. For instance, shear wall W5 measures 473 cm in length in the drawings for the
S18 COLUMNS LAYOUT – F1
basement and ground floor levels but only 425 cm in the ETABS model for these levels.
S19 COLUMNS LAYOUT – F2 to F8
Additionally, while the drawings indicate a wall thickness of 25 cm at the typical floor levels,
the model shows a thickness of 30 cm.
7. The solid slab equivalent thickness of 22 cm means that the average number of 24 x 40 x 20
hollow blocks per square meter is at least 7. If that number is found to be smaller than 7, then
the equivalent thickness should be increased accordingly.
8. The membrane stiffness modifiers for shear walls should be reduced to 0.7.
