Dear Sir,

After examination of the specified documents below, please find the observations that we can formulate at present within the scope of the mission
referenced here above.

Kindly note that all the structural elements affected by the modifications below should be revised (shear walls, columns, foundations, etc.).

Best regards,

The Engineer: A. MOUSSA The Manager: N. MOUSSA

Documents or Drawings Designation Observations / Notes / Comments

Structural drawings: 1. Based on the detailed hand calculations (please see attached drawings and calculation sheet),
the slab section assigned to the floors in the ETABS model should have a unit weight of
 FONDATIONS
approximately 625 kg/m2, equivalent to a 25 cm thick solid slab.
 PLANCHER HAUT SS2
 PLANCHER HAUT SS1 2. The mass source used for the seismic calculations does not include the super-imposed permanent
surface loads (weight of partition walls and tiles), which makes the seismic mass smaller, which
 PLANCHER HAUT RDC results in a smaller seismic base shear.
 PLANCHER HAUT ET. COURANT The mass source used should be rectified in accordance with EN 1998-1 Clauses 3.2.4.2 and 4.2.4.

 PLANCHER HAUT ET.6 3. The columns should be end-moment-released for both their minor and major axes and for both
their ends.
 CAGE D’ESCALIER
 DETAILS 4. In the ETABS model, the basement 2 upper slab is not connected to the retaining wall at axis 7.

5. The retaining wall at axis 1 on the ground floor is not connected to the wall beneath it. The same
goes for retaining wall M5. Kindly check the connectivity of all the model components.

6. For shear walls, the stiffness modifier f22 should be reduced to 0.5.
