CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Statement of Philosophy: The observance of the Rights of a Child is paramount
in the protection of children.

A. For pupils who are hurt/bullied by other pupils

1. Conduct of conference with both the child who bullied/hurt others and the
victim by the Class Advisers
2. Preparation of narrative reports on instances of bullying/hurting of other
pupils and conferences conducted on this matter by the Class Advisers
3. For pupils who keep on repeating the same violations/if the violation
committed is somewhat serious/incur violations on the accepted standards
of fair play:
a. They will be brought to the Guidance Coordinator or Principal. They
will be the ones who will call for the parents, especially the parents of
the pupil who hurt/bullied other pupils.

b. Conferences will be conducted with the pupil involved along with their
Class Advisers or parents.

c. Agreements will be arrived at and will be signed by the pupils

concerned with their parents.
4. For violators who need to be sanctioned with disciplinary measures by the
Child Protection Committee, the following policies will take place:
a. All the members of the Child Protection Committee will be convened
to study the case of the violator who needs to be sanctioned with
disciplinary measures as contained in the Deped Child Protection
Policy.

b. The pupils involved will then be called with their parents for a
conference by the committee.

c. Warnings/Suspension based on the detailed history of violations and

actions taken to minimize/stop violations will then be issued by the
committee for those who warrant disciplinary measures.

5. Common violations on the policies of the school in the protection of

children will be discussed during the quarterly general Parents Teachers
Association (PTA) meetings as a learning experience so as to gain the
support of the parents in the prevention of bullying/hurting of pupils by
other pupils
B. For pupils who get physically hurt/harmed that need medical attention

1. Pupils who are physically hurt/harmed who need medical attention will be
brought by their Class Advisers to the nearest hospital/clinic right away
while their parents will be notified.

2. All the steps enumerated in number three on the policies for those who
bully/hurt other pupils will be conducted.

3. a. Processing of the financial claims of pupils who are bullied/hurt and

who need medical attention if they are registered in the Boy Scouts
of the Philippines (BSP) or Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) or to
the Philippine Red Cross or any other insurance company that the child
subscribed to.

b. The parents of the bully will shoulder the medication of the victim
through a notification by the CPC; after which, they will also be
recommended to undergo counseling, as the case maybe.

d. For repeated offenses that cause anxiety/fear to any child, suspension

will be recommended by the school depending on the gravity of the
case while the victim is also recommended to undergo intervention
programs, tapping concerned agencies for processing.

e. If the pupil needs a medical treatment that would incur a considerable

amount of expenditure, an incident report is prepared, the parents are
advised to get a medical abstract from the attending physician and a
barangay certificate of the need for financial support from the Office of
the Punong barangay then his/her case is endorsed to the Office of the
Municipal Mayor for financial support.

violence in other places outside the school but who need medical
assistance.

places outside the school

1. Victims of physical/sexual violence in other places outside the school are
