Divide the class into 4 and each group will select a representative to act it in front and the rest of
the members will guess. (Note that the representative will only use gestures). Each team will be
given 2 minutes to guess the sentences or phrases:

4.4 Abstraction The teacher will further discuss the lesson by showing different slides:

Intrapersonal- this communication happens within oneself. This means that the speaker acts
as the source and the receiver of the message. When you do self- reflection, you analyze your
thoughts and feelings. By knowing what you feel, you can assess yourself on how to react on
it.
Example: When choosing what course in college you would want to take. Before coming up with a decision,
you’d have to assess your interests, talents, strengths, and weaknesses.
Interpersonal- this communication involves two or more people. The conversation can be
formal or informal, intimate or casual depending on the relationship people involved have.
There are two types of interpersonal communication: dyad and small group.
Examples:
You talked to your mother that you need an illustration board for your activity tomorrow.
Small group- three but not more than twelve people are part of the conversation. This type of
communication is present during brainstorming or collaborating with other people.
Public- in this type of communication, you can deliver a message to bigger number people in a
venue. When someone is giving a message to the public, he/ she usually inform or persuade
people.
Scenarios:
1.comforted to a friend who was feeling down.
2. Delivering news report.
3. Having a meeting at work.
4. Someone thinks of his loved ones.
5. Giving inspirational speech to graduates.
