Submitted by: Anjusha KV Introduction Overthinking refers to the process of unnecessary thoughts. Since it can be majorly focused on various things, it is generally differentiated between rumination about the past and present, and worry about the future. Regardless of words we use, we are talking about constant thought loops that seem to have resolution. Thinking is a great ability of a human being, but our brain have evolved to produce complex thoughts that allows us to understand information, problem solving, planning, and learn from our past. Inspiration and Concept • There is no ear attached to the head, because the person who overthinks usually do not listen to anyone even though they can hear others. • Eye part has been carved out and candle is placed to represent that whatever they see through their eyes will be an extra flames added into overthinking. • And candles has been placed on top of the head and have been lite. To show that overthinkers burn lot of their time by overthinking and it drains them mentally which is represented by showing the wax melting. • They also go through physical pain and it is showed through the hot wax is dripping on their face and body. • There is an crack in the neck to represent that it is about fall apart from the body due to head weight because of overthinking. • I have used black colour paint to represent that the person who thinks will be in their own world which is full of darkness. Process • Process starts with mixing Terracotta and water in a bowl as much as needed for the model. • I have used Ply wood as the base for the model. • Clay has been moulded using clay tools to make humanoid face shape. • Once the model is in shape, I have carved out eye part and made few spaces on top of the head left it to dry. • Once it dries, it has been painted with black colour paint and let it to dry. • Candle was placed in the carved out places. Materials used Mechanical tools used • Terracotta Powder • Hacksaw • Water • Wire clay cutter • Ply wood • Box wood tools • Stick • Ribs • Black Paint • Loop tool and • Painting brush • Fire lighter • Candle Conclusion Let me end this effort by saying how much I loved the outcome and how it perfectly represents the pain and agony of an overthinker. As the project brought up unpleasant memories, emotions were high. The clay was a problem, but then everything worked out in the end, and it encouraged me to always believe in the outcome—not just in projects, but in life as a whole. Thank you
