TECHNIQUE:

3 mm reconstructions were reviewed from scan performed on multislice CT in different window


settings and planes. Non contrast CT abdomen done for Urinary tract.

FINDINGS:

 Within limitation of non contrast study liver, spleen, pancreas, and adrenals are
normal.
 Right kidney is normal in size and shape. Upper end of DJ stent is seen in situ. Two
calculi measuring about 12.8mm (1152 HU) and 11.2mm (1383 HU) are seen
adjacent to upper end of DJ stent at mid and junction of mid-lower poles region
respectively causing mild dilatation of the pelvicalyceal system. No renal mass or
perinephric collection seen.
 Left kidney is normal in size and shape. Upper end of DJ stent is seen in situ. A
calculus measuring about 16.2mm (1302 HU) HU) is seen at mid pole region
adjacent to upper end of DJ stent causing mild dilatation of the pelvicalyceal
system. No renal mass or perinephric collection seen.
 There is no evidence of high-density shadow in the lines of both ureters.
 Urinary bladder shows normal walls thickness with no intra vesical calculus or
diverticulum. Lower ends of DJ stents are seen in situ.
 Uterus appears unremarkable with no abnormal tubo-ovarian lesion.
 Included sections of bones are unremarkable.
 Few prominent sub cm (in short axis) lymph nodes are seen in both inguinal
regions.
IMPRESSION:
Bilateral renal calculi with mild hydronephrosis and DJ stents in situ
Advised: Correlation with clinical findings and previous record.
