A 65-year-old male underwent a CT scan of the chest which revealed a large 60x50mm enhancing soft tissue mass in the right upper lobe, consistent with bronchogetic cancer. Enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes up to 13x11mm were also seen. The scan also showed old healed fibrotic opacities in both lung apices. Clinical correlation is necessary.

CT STUDY OF CHEST PLAIN AND CONTRAST
A well defined mildly enhancing soft tissue space occupying lesion is
seen in right upper lobe in anterior segment .This space occupying lesion measures 60x50mm in size. No calcification seen .No cavitation is seen . Few fibrotic parenchymal opacities are seen in both apices.
No pleural effusion or pleural thickening is seen on either side.
Few enlarged mediastinal nodes are seen ,larger one measuring 13x11mm .
Trachea is central.
Great vessels are seen normally.
Heart size is normal.
Esophagus is seen normally.
Visualized liver shows normal parenchyma. No SOL is seen.
Soft tissues are seen normally.
OPINION:
LARGE MASS IN RIGHT UPPER LOBE ..BRONCHOGENIC CA .
MEDIASTINAL LYMPHADENOPATHY . FEW FIBROTIC PARENCHYMAL OPACITIES IN BOTH APICES OLD HEALED LESIONS.
