Instructions for Top CT004


Front Back

Start with these top instructions before you move on to the instructions for the bottoms

Step One
Take the font and fold down the centre so right sides are facing -
use the CF notch as the guide.

Measure the distance needed to stitch down as indicated on the


pattern and mark this with a pin or pencil mark.

Stitch down to this point where the notches are marked,

Ensure the stitch is finished securely so it does not come undone

Step Two
To create the box pleat - fold the pleat so the CF
notch meets with the stitch line you have just done.

Pin this in place and secure this with a stitch - make


sure this stitch in within the 1 cm seam allowance so
it is not seen when you bag out the neckline

Press the pleat so it lays flat.

Do the same to the back and then again to the front


and back lining

Instructions for Top CT004

Step Three
Take the strap and fold with right sides together.

Stitch with a 1 cm / 3/8 Inch seam.

Trim the seam allowance down to 6 mm/ 1/4 Inch

Use a loop turner or bodkin needle to turn out


the strap and press flat so the seam is at the edge.

Step Four
Pin the straps to the front neckline - 6 mm in from
the armhole

Do the same to back

Step Five
First take the front and back and place the right
sides together.

Stitch down the side seams with a 1 cm / 3/8 inch


seam and press the seams open

Do the same with the lining

CT001

Step Six
Place main and lining together with the right sides facing and
stitch 6 mm / 1/4 inch seam allowance at the front neckline

Edge stitch

Do the same to the back

Step Seven
Turn back so right sides are facing and stitch the
armholes with a 6 mm / 1/4 inch seam.

Ensure the stitch is close to the strap so you have a


neat edge.

Edge stitch the armholes as far as you can until it gets


too narrow

Step Eight
Turn so right sides are facing out and press the neck-
line and armhole seams flat.

Once finished, tie the straps to the desired length and


if needed secure with a stitch

Now the top part is complete - move over to the instructions on the bottoms to finish the outfit
