Valentine’s Day Cat
Directions

-­‐Select  the  page  that  your  students  will  use  to  write  their  story.      
-­‐If  you  chose  a  page  on  8  ½”  x  11”  paper,  you  will  want  to  use  a  half  
sheet  of  red  construc@on  paper,  measuring  9”  x  12”  as  the  border.  If  
you  chose  the  heart,  you  will  need  to  have  students  center  the  page  
onto  the  heart  border.  
 
 
 
 
-­‐Print  your  paKerns  onto  the  recommended  color  construc@on  paper.      
-­‐For  the  cat  head,  hands,  tail  and  legs,  you  can  choose  any  color.  
-­‐Cut  out  your  pieces  carefully.    
-­‐Glue  the  head,  tail  and  legs  underneath  the  wri@ng.  
-­‐Add  the  pink  to  the  cat  ears.    
-­‐If  you  are  using  the  eyeballs  and  pupils  provided,  posi@on  the  white  
eyeballs  and  glue  them  on  first,  then  glue  the  black  pupils  on  top  of  the  
eyeballs.    
-­‐Glue  the  nose  and  cheeks  onto  the  cat  head.  
-­‐Add  the  hands  to  the  top  of  the  paper.  
-­‐Op@on:  Have  the  students  draw  on  their  whiskers  and  mouth.
