PROJECT PEACE ( Preservation of Cultural Heritage Embodied in


Arts, Music, Culture, Literature and Beliefs )

1. Describe your project entry

Cultural preservation gives the next generation a deeper understanding of how other
people view the world, build relationships and go about their lives on a daily basis.

This cultural understanding foster a stronger sense of empathy and mutual respect.
Empathy and understanding have the potential to change the world it can also create PEACE
in one place.

In order to foster love and peace in the school and community through
preservation of cultural heritage Project PEACE (Preservation of Cultural Heritage Embodied
in Arts, Music, Culture, Literature and Beliefs) was conceptualized.

The Supreme Student Government and the Socio-Cultural Group of Victoria High
School work hand in hand in the preservation of cultural heritage through performances in
the school and in the community. For better result, the organizations invited locals who are
experts in the different fields of performing and visual arts to share their knowledge
especially in playing local instruments, proper used of props and correct executions of local
dances and even songs.

This project is also a way to bridge connections to external stakeholders. But the
most important thing is even in a little way. It helps parents ease their financial burden at
the same time, contribute to the realization of their children’s dreams.

Generally, the project aims to improve , strengthen and uplift school organizations
toward unity, love and peace in spite of differences in culture and beliefs.

2. Who and How are the beneficiaries of the project?

The beneficiaries of the said project are the students of Victoria High School for it
serves as an avenue for applying the lesson learned in the school for arts and literature

And generally, with the coming of local foreign tourist the province and the people
of Quirino will also take it’s slice of benefits for the Province will be promoted and be known
through this simple project. The local products and output will surely be bought, be
consumed, used and be posted in the social media and even through personal contact too
with the kind of technological era that we have.

3. What is the impact of the project to the stakeholders?


The project both benefited the school and the community and thus, the relationship
between them is strengthened. The shared goal of the school and its community turned out to
be shared responsibility as they work together the school. Its stakeholders proved that each of
them plays a great role on attaining its goal.

4. What is the impact of the project to the stakeholders?

Project PEACE caused a stronger partnership between the school and its stakeholders.
The parents actively participated in the school’s programs and projects because of the
developed partnership. Project PEACE also caters the total development of an individual
through providing programs such as project PEACE that would cater the students exposure to
real work experience . The project also opened the eyes of the parents and other stakeholders
that the existence of a school in a certain community plays a great role in the advancement
and progress of a community

5. Who are involved and what are their roles to the project?

Project PEACE is made possible through the initiative of the SSG officers, Socio-
Cultural group, SSG advisers Mrs. Virginia P. Apil and the socio-cultural adviser Mr. Regie
T. Benigno. The said project also supported by the school head, Mrs. Magdalena U. Aquino,
the PTCA officers/Parents headed by the PTA President Mrs. Adela Duldulao, VHS
Teachers, LGU of Victoria headed by barangay captain Alfredo Rufino and the Department
of Tourism in the Aglipay.

6.How does the project promote the idea of team work and solidarity its
stakeholders?

“Together we stand, divided we fall”, a well known adage which defines solidarity
which also shows the process on how project PEACE came to life. The proponent and
implementer conceived project PEACE not just for the benefit of the school and its
stakeholders but for greater purposes, to ignite the fire of teamwork and solidarity thus
creating a close knit relationship between the school and its stakeholders.

The LGU of Aglipay aims to promote the tourist spots in Aglipay as well as their
rich culture, also Victoria High School aims to do the same. LGU Aglipay and VHS tapped
other stakeholders like the Department of Tourism and the PTCA to hand in hand realize the
goal.

LGU Victoria and VHS’s SSG worked together to promote Tourism, the Department
of Tourism also helped through financial assistance to the training and the parents
participated to the conducted training. The process show teamwork in the sense that each
variable should co-exist that without the other, nothing will be accomplished.

7. What innovation did the team introduce in implementing the project?

Behind the success of every endeavour lies the spirit of collaboration. Project PEACE
aims to hone the skills of individuals in the school and community as well as to promote the
programs and projects of Victoria High School. Indeed, Victoria High School is very
responsive to the needs and demands of stakeholders.

The team which is composed of the faculty of VHS both from the Junior and Senior
High Department in cooperation with other stakeholders launched project PEACE.

8. How were the team able to found the project?

Time, money and energy really matter in the realization of a certain activity.

It is interesting to note that during the preplanning activity relative to the conduct of
project PEACE, the team has encountered several concerns. One of which is the
unavailability of fund to be allocated for the said project. However, the team has proven to be
resourceful in sourcing funds for the implementation of the project. Through solicitation, the
team has earned money that directly financed the project.
