1. Is there anything wrong with how Jake managed the business right from the start?

The business was great from the start since it’s a small video games company and it’s also easier to
manage the employees because they are only 12 employees and easier to communicate and the
verbal instructions with new employee is good also because oral communication is part of business
and with that the employee will feel welcome and comfortable, but the problem is when he wanted
to expand his business and asked his brother Cesar to manage a new office with new hired
employees and 2 senior employees to help his brother that’s where the business management went
wrong because he only asked his brother and never explained anything in what to do and his
brother has a different managing style but since Jake is the owner he should have given him a
direct instructions properly if he wanted to expand his business it’s just liked having a new business
but the only part is he only have a new office and the senior employee should managed it because
they have more experience in his company that his brother Cesar.

2. Who between Jake and Cesar caused the two (2) senior employee’s work discomfort? Why do
you think so?

It’s Cesar because of Cesar’s management style he always scolds them in work, but they are
only doing what they normally do in Quezon City office and what they have learned in the way of
Jake manage and direct them and also, they complained the restrictive policies that Cesar has
given and he also disregards their suggestions and Cesar is very different to Jake.

3.Given the facts, what should Jake do to address these dilemmas?

Since Jake created a small video games company and he wanted to expand it and managed it to his
brother and something went wrong he should have seminar or instruct the new team first since they
are not aware of what to do since it’s a new office and new employees and new manager and he put
2 of his senior employees to help with the expansion with that they know what to do because of the
instructions that Jake have given but also he will always guide and direct them because that’s being
a leader having a good connection and communication with his employees is a must that’s how
you’ll earn their trust and that how they will trust each other to have the best and ongoing success
of his business .
