Table: Organizational SWOT of Unisafe.

A broad analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of the

organization will help in identifying how the human resources (HR) department can assist in

fulfilling their role towards the execution of the organizational strategy. Primarily, the HR

department of Unisafe ensures the satisfaction of business demand through accurate labor

projections and updated staffing assessments.

The strengths of the company in terms of the staff are a conducive working environment

and flexible work arrangements. Employees appreciate having the necessary guidance in terms

of how work will proceed and how the company intends to adjust to the consequences due to

the ongoing pandemic. In addition, the employees value a detailed process on employment

concerns, such as performance assessment and resignation guidelines. An adjustment that

employees particularly like is the flexibility of work arrangement, wherein they can still be

productive within the confines of their homes and deliver quality performance. The company is

also reputable for offerings that are worth their prices, and for their reach in the country.
Internally, the company has organizational concerns that involve inventory management,

quality assessment, and supplier relationships. Inventory management is an ongoing issue due

to uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, such as in stock levels or schedules. Quality

assessment for the company involves lessening the susceptibility of the products to damage

and standardizing the quality of offered products. Lastly, supplier relationships pose a significant

challenge to the company as the company observed some erratic transactions recently.

External factors that could negatively impact the company mainly concern market

obsolescence and competition. While Unisafe has a longstanding reputation as a distributor, it is

constantly threatened by rapid innovation and change in the market such that the organization

risks being behind in terms of advancement. This can also be a possible consequence to the

company image for potential staff if Unisafe does not ensure upkeep with changing times.

Furthermore, with major economic repercussions due to the pandemic absorbed, the company

somewhat struggles in maintaining profitability due to mobility restrictions.

Fortunately, the company has opportunities to which it can strive. A major opening is for

the expansion of the company through additional regional and international branches. With this,

the HR department can contribute by studying particular demographics in the expansion areas

to preserve staff efficiency and productivity. In addition, while innovation can be a threat in terms

of matching its pace, it also serves as a window for Unisafe to identify technological

improvements that can further their reach as a distributor. For the current context, PPE will

continue being a necessity as an integral part of medical response to the pandemic, and

construction apparel will likewise persist as a need for ongoing infrastructure efforts in public

and private sectors. As such, Unisafe can leverage its position as a leading distributor and even

emerge as the foremost player in its current market.
