Dear 8 Grade Families,

Our Senior Dance will take place on Wednesday, June 21 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Douglaston Manor. The
Douglaston Manor is located at 6320 Commonwealth Blvd, Douglaston, NY 11362. All 8 grade students are invited
and encouraged to attend the Senior Dance.

Students should plan to arrive at the Douglaston Manor by 5:00PM. School personnel will be present on site to ensure
that proper parental permission has been granted, as well as that students are dressed properly and are not carrying any
prohibited items.

Cost of this year’s Senior Dance is $68.00, and includes but is not limited to the following:

· Rental of the Douglaston Manor, including waitresses and staff

· Greeting Hour with passed appetizers
· Unlimited buffet dinner and dessert
· Unlimited soda, coffee and tea
· All taxes, tips and gratuities
We are grateful to our wonderful and supportive PTA who has helped fund our Senior Dance by gifting the DJ and

decorations. 😊

Our dance will be chaperoned by teachers, and administrators. We want every child to enjoy the dance, but we expect
appropriate behavior throughout the evening. All school rules are in effect during this dance, and if any issues arise
parents will be asked to pick up their child early from the dance.

We ask all parents to be prompt when picking up their children or to have arrangements in place prior to the evening of
the dance. Student pickup can be at 8:30 PM or earlier. There will be no supervision for students waiting for their
parents after that time.

If you would like your child to attend the Senior Dance, please fill out the permission slip below and return it to your
child’s homeroom teacher with payment by check/money order made out to MS 74 School Fund.

Additionally, payment can be made online using your debit or credit card through our new online school
store. Please scan the QR code to access the link. A permission slip is still required with an online
payment.

We will be collecting permission slips and dance fees beginning on Monday, May 1, 2023, and ending on Wednesday,
June 14, 2023. Any student who does not submit payment on or before this date will not be guaranteed entrance into the
dance.
