RE: TENDER NO. CDC/BSDC/AB/CCP/40/2022-2023A WORKS CONTRACT FOR THE

PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF KGOTLA SHELTERS IN TOBANE VILLAGE
(PACKAGE A) IN MMADINARE CONSTITUENCY

Reference is made to the above-mentioned tender with regards to the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
and the variations. Our company submitted an invoice on the 5 th September 2023 for works
completed to date and our Site Agent was informed by Mr Madema to provide drawings for
variations. Kindly be reminded that we are yet to receive a formal response regarding our letter
written to Bobirwa District Council at the beginning of August 2023.

I since then pointed out a number of issues and discrepancies between the BOQ and the plans
provided by your department but unfortunately such issues have not been addressed. Kindly be
informed that we have sought that your department undertakes a re-measurement and validation
of measurements of our project in Tobane.

As to the variation plans alluded to by Mr Madema, it is the duty of your department to ensure
that plans are done accurately and checked prior to the construction of projects and I therefore
sincerely inform you that the modification or correction of plans is done by your department not
ourselves after re-measuring and validating the discrepancies between the tender Bill of
Quantities and the drawing plans.

Furthermore, I sincerely request for a Technical meeting with your Department at our site in
Tobane on the 8th September at 10:00 am where I expect that a re-measurement and validation of
the project to date will be done. This delay in addressing issues pointed out has a negative
bearing on the progress of our construction activities coupled by delays on your part.
Without any rancor and prejudice, I trust that this letter is in good order
