Individual Lead Stabilizers

Product Description

Goldstab has gained manufacturing excellence over a period of time on its journey towards
perfecting the process to make individual lead based stabilizer. Complete automation and PLC
controlled processes allow us to give consistent product with negligible batch to batch variation.
We start the process of making Lead based stabilizers right from Lead metal. The back
integration allows us to gain more control over quality at multiple stages.

Although there are many benefits of lead stabilizers like very strong stabilization effect at a very
low cost, they are also toxic in nature and are being replaced by mixed metal stabilizers.

PVC compounds when stabilized with lead heat stabilizers show excellent heat and light
stability, exceptional mechanical and electrical properties provide wide processing range

Tri Basic Lead Sulphate (TBLS)

Tribasic Lead Sulphate (TBLS) is the most popular and versatile lead-based heat stabilizer for
PVC. Goldstab provides TBLS with a very fine particle size and uniform distribution, which
gives good dispersion in the PVC matrix and hence imparts high thermal stability, better shine
and higher output.

Dibasic Lead Stearate (DBLS)

Dibasic Lead Stearate is a heat stabilizer cum lubricant for PVC. It plays an important role in
processing of PVC for lubrication at the mixing and metering zone of the extruder.

Lead Stearate (LS)

Lead Stearate (LS) is a neutral heavy metal salt of lead and stearic acid. It has dual function of
heat stability and also acts as an excellent external lubricant.

Goldstab Dibasic Lead Phosphite

Goldstab Dibasic Lead Phosphite is a great heat and UV stabilizer that provides high weathering
resistance. It performs best when used in combination with Goldstab Tribasic Lead Sulphate and
Goldstab Lead Stearate.
Goldstab Dibasic Lead Phthalate

Goldstab Dibasic Lead Phthalate is mainly used for flexible applications due to its high
compatibility with other plasticizers. It provides effective heat and light stability and excellent
initial color hold property to PVC compounds. It also helps in pigment dispersion.

Liquid Mixed Metal Stabilizers

Product Description

The liquid mixed metal stabilizers are based on metals octoates of Ba, Cd, K, Zn for several flexible
applications like Calendared Sheets, Leather Cloth, Films, Floorings, Hoses, Tubings, Soft PVC Application.
They provide moderate to high heat stability.

Organotin Stabilizers
Product Description

Organotin stabilizers give excellent thermal performance even at 0.3 PHR and thus are said to be the
most efficient and best stabilizers for PVC in consideration of their performance, usage, toxicity and
compatibility. They are colorless, transparent, low odor liquids and go with single and twin screw
extruders for soft and hard PVC processing.

They impart excellent initial color hold properties and lower melt viscosity making the process
easy. They stabilize UPVC polymers and vinyl copolymers, which can be used in food
packaging and blow moulding.

Lubricants
Product Description

Lubricants play a major role in PVC processing. An external lubricant is employed to assist the
smooth passage of resin melt. An internal lubricant reduces melt viscosity allowing free
movement between polymer chains and also prevents overheating which ensures the good color
of the final product. There is no universal lubricant that can provide all the needed properties in
the formulation. Hence, lubricants are always used in packages, as a lubricating system. Goldstab
offers One Pack Lubricants with a perfect blend of internal and external lubrication required for
the processing of pipes and fittings.

 Lubricants interact with other ingredients of the formulation. Thus, change in any one ingredient
may affect the solubility of the lubricant in the entire system
 Process machinery uses different ratios of heat and shear to achieve the same end product.
 A lubricant package designed for low heat - high shear machine may fail dramatically in high
heat- low shear machine.
 New lubricants should first be evaluated in the laboratory at different levels, temperatures and
shear rates and their operating range are determined.
