TERMINAL REPORT

It is imperative that a regular meeting and training must be done as this is a means to
monitor and enhance the effectiveness of the program. This also gives opportunities to learn new
ideas, and to benchmark the best practices and accomplishments of the ALS Implementers.

The quarterly meeting and training on


news writing was conducted on September 4,
2019 at Barangay Hall of Libag Sur in which it
was participated by ALS Implementers with the
two Education Program Specialist II, Froilan
Jeph Baculina and Mary Ann S. Tamaray, and
Noli B. Abrigo, ALS Focal Person and EPS
Mathematics.

The host of the meeting and training was


Romulo Jr. D. Cuntapay, ALS Mobile Teacher at West District.

The meeting and training was started with the conduct of National Anthem by Mary Ann
Tanguilan followed by a Prayer by Carl Jofrey Rivera.

A warm welcome message was given by the


supportive Barangay Captain of Libag Sur, Hon.
Romeo Iquin to everyone who were present in the
ALS Quarterly Meeting and Training on News
Writing. He even commended that ALS family is
welcome in their barangay 24/7. This is a
manifestation how helpful and benevolent the father
of Barangay Libag Sur is to support us and our
learners.

A message was also rendered by Noli B. Abrigo, ALS Focal Person and EPS
Mathematics about the meeting’s objective.
After which, Froilan Jeph Baculina, Education Program Specialist II introduced the
resource speaker in the name of Joshua Jericho Kahulugan, Editor-in-Chief of Northern Forum
and a product of ALS.

Joshua Kahulugan started his presentation


with the topic News Writing followed by Feature
and Editorial Writing. It was then followed by a
writeshop, wherein he critics the outputs of each
implementer. He selected 3 best outputs for news
and feature writing. Mary Ann Tanguilan, Gigi
Pamittan, and Nonie Tabulog’s work where
chosen to be the top 3 best outputs in news writing
while while Bernadette Casil, Claudine Pabunan
and Carl Jofrey Rivera’s workmanship were
selected as the best 3 outputs for feature writing.

After his
discussion, we
showed our
gratitude to him for sharing his expertise by awarding a certificate
of appreciation and a token.

In
the
Part
II of
our
program, ALS implementers presented their accomplishments through powerpoint presentation
on different activities they have attended. As seen in the photos, the implementers were happy
and fulfilled in giving details on what they have attained and offered for the betterment of their
learners.

Program Specialist II also presented the
statistical data of enrolment for the City
Division as of August 31, 2019. He also
presented a checklist of the submission of
monthly and quarterly accomplishment
reports in soft and hard copy for
implementers to make them aware of the
things they need to finish.

After which, Noli B. Abrigo


gave his inspirational message
where he felt glad in what the
implementers achieved. He
emphasized that the
accomplishments were indication of
success implementation of ALS
Program, in contrary, this doesn’t
mean to stop aiming for more but to continue doing the best for the purpose of the program.
The meeting ended by awarding certificate of recognition to those implementers who showed
efficiency in submitting reports and by congratulating everyone for the productive quarter.
