Type 2
The second conditional sentence is a type of supposition sentence that is used when the result
or effect only has the hope of being realized although the possibility is very small. Therefore,
it can be said that this second type of conditional sentence may not necessarily happen but it
can also come true.
If she came home early, she would cook dinner (+)
: came as V2 (+), would V2 (+), THEREFORE
She does not come home early so she does not cook dinner (-)
: we can use will not (= does not), come as V1, add conjunction so

Linda would call him if she knew his phone number.

would V2 +, knew V2 +
Linda does not call him because she does not know his phone number.
: know V1, add conjunction because

Type 3
Third conditional sentence is a supposition sentence when a condition is not possible at all.
This can be described as a highly improbable condition or just a dream or imagination.
If you had remembered to invite me, I would have attended your party.
You did not remember to invite me, so I did not attend your party.
If "if" comes before the sentence then use the conjunction "so".
If "if" is at the back of the sentence, the conjunction "because" is used.
If the conditional is a positive sentence, the fact is negative.
If the conditional is a negative sentence, the fact is positive.
