THE STAR IN THE NIGHT

(DRAMA SCRIPT)

Once upon a time in the middle of the night, there’s a lonely star in the side of the moonlight, her
name is Selina, the joyful star before, but when her mother died, she doesn’t even get light in the
night. She is the happy pill in the sky, but when she changed her personality, everything has been
changed. The moon always stares at Selina, he wants to play with Selina again. But Selina wants
to be alone, but moon is so clingy, he wants Selina to laugh in his jokes.
Moon: “HEY THERE SELINA, WANNA PLAY WITH US AGAIN? COME ON, PLAY WITH
US”
Selina: “NO, I DON’T WANT TO.”
Moon: “BUT SELINA, I’M GOING TO SHARE SOME STORIES AND JOKES TO ALL OF
YOU, JUST LIKE BEFORE, REMEMBER?”
Selina: “I SAID NO! AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MOM, DO YOU THINK I’LL BE
THE HAPPY STAR AGAIN? NO, NEVER AGAIN!”
Moon: “I’M SORRY SELINA.”
Selina: “I DON’T NEED YOUR SORRY, AND I DON’T NEED YOU!”
(and Selina left moon in the side)

The other stars heard Selina crying and shouting by her mother’s name.
Selina: “MOOMMM! MOOMMMM!”
(still crying until she got tired of shouting)

But in the middle of the night, that full of unseen words in her mind and a heavy heart in the
inside, there’s a light shows in front of her and it shines more and more, until Selina heard the
voice of her mom calling by her name.
Mom: “SELINA”
Selina cried a lot and run in to the light, but she failed to touch the light, because unfortunately
the light that has been showed is just the spirit of her mom. And she said.
Selina: “MOM? IS THAT YOU?
Mom: “YES SWEETIE ITS ME”
(Selina cried and said)
Selina: “MOM, I MISS YOU, I WANNA FEEL YOUR TOUCH AND HUGS AGAIN”
Her mom stares at Selina and cried, because she saw in Selina’s eyes that she is so lonely when
the day happens, the day when she got passed away. Her mom said.
Mom: “SWEETIE, YOU’VE CHANGED A LOT.THE HAPPINESS IN YOUR FACE HAS
BEEN GONE, WHERE’S THE SELINA THAT I KNOW? THE SELINA WHO GET
LIGHTER IN THE NIGHT? SWEETIE, I KNOW YOU’VE BEEN HURT OF WHAT
HAPPENED, BUT THAT’S NOT THE REASON TO CHANGED YOUR PERSONALITY”
(Selina listens carefully to her mom)

Her mom gives some advices and reminders for her daughter.
Mom: “YOU NEED TO BE BRAVE SWEETIE AND NOT TO BE FEAR TO LIVE BY YOUR
OWN, BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME DAYS WILL BE GOING TO BE DIFFERENT, LOVE
ONES CAN DISAPPEAR IF THE RIGHT TIME OF DEATHS CAME. EVERYTHING WILL
HAPPEN IN OUR LIVES AS WE NOT EXPECTED
Selina ask her mom a last favor, to sing their favorite song, the song that reminds a beautiful and
great memories with her mom.
Selina: “MOM, CAN I ASK A LAST FAVOR?”
Mom: “OF COURSE SWEETIE”
Selina: “CAN WE SING AGAIN OUR FAVORITE SONG?”
Mom: “SURE SWEETIE”
(and they started to sing their favorite song together)
After they sing their favorite song, her mom told Selina to be more patients and kind to other
people. Selina open her eyes and said “I’LL BE BRAVE AND KIND TO OTHER PEOPLE,
I’LL BE THE LIGHTER STAR AGAIN IN THE SKY AND I’LL BE HAPPY AGAIN MOM.”
Selina came back in the side of the moonlight and said:
“I’M SORRY MOON OF WHAT HAPPENDED EARLIER”
Moon: “IT’S OK SELINA, DON’T MIND IT, YOU KNOW THAT I STILL CARE FOR YOU
AND YOUR JUST LIKE MY LITTLE SISTER”
(and they both give a smile and hug)
Before Selina ends her story, she leaves a short reminder to all who will read this that
“LIFE IS NOT EASY IF YOU DON’T LIVE BY YOUR OWN, SO BE PREPARED IN ALL
THINGS TO BE HAPPENED IN EVERYDAY”
And they live happily ever after.
Selina ask her mom a last favor, to sing their favorite song, the song that reminds a beautiful and
