Statement of the Problem

This research aims to help the students of Tanauan National High School, in order to assess their

mental health. To seek for answers to how Generational Trauma affects the behavior and

performance of the students.

Specifically, this research aims to answer the following questions:

• How does generational trauma affects to the student’s mental health?

• How does generational trauma affects the relationship between families?

• How does generational trauma affects the student’s behavior?

Scope and Delimitation

This study aims to determine the effects of generational trauma to senior high school students of

Tanauan National High School.

This study involves 6 sections of HUMSS Department of Tanauan National High School. This

study limited to coverage of 60 students of Tanauan National High School.

Significance of the Study

This study would be beneficial to the following:

Students- For them to be able to comprehend what really is generational trauma, and how can it

affect every individual if it’s continuously affecting every household. It aims to give them idea

what they can do in order to prevent passing the trauma or curse from one generation to the next
generation. Also, to conduct awareness of bad effects of generational traumaone and how it can

affect every individual’s mental health.

Teachers- Since, they are the educators they can have, at least, an idea on how they can teach

students to prevent passing the Generational Trauma. Also, in order for them to be aware of the

impact of it so that, they can also apply it in their personal lives and to have legacy of passing

good lessons and moral to the next generations.

Parents- They are the great aspects on preventing the generational trauma to be passed down.

For them to acknowledge the feelings of their child once they don’t break the cycle that won’t

benefit for the future of every child. To have an idea at least what are the causes and bad effects

of it on the present and future generations. They can be the role models to put an end of

generational trauma.

School Administrators- For them to be able to conduct a program, educating the students about

being knowledgeable enough of this kind of trauma. For them to raise awareness to everyone of

how this can affect an entire family and/or community. Overall, to conduct awareness of this

kind of trauma and be it on their priorities.

Future researcher/s- This research would help them elaborate the gaps and fulfill what’s

missing and fill it with new studies. This would help them to have aroid broad idea oning how

they will research for more findings and help them with their future research problems.
