EXT. A HARAJUKU NEIGHBOURHOOD – (MORNING)

A beautiful morning in Harajuku, Tokyo in April. The main

character is standing in the middle of a narrow street
surrounded by tall buildings. Several brightly lit and
coloured restaurants and shops on the bottom floor of these 4
and 5 story buildings. Pavements made of white tail. The road
made of concrete.

The girl walks down the narrow streets with the spring air
brushing her face and glimpse of sunlight glistening her eyes.
Masses of people passing by her and some hitting her
shoulders, others stopping in front to take pictures of the
building or as a group. We can hear parts of people’s
conversations in the background.

Boy, also a main character, catches a glimpse of the girl. She

doesn’t stand out in any way to him, her clothes are plain and
boring, she’s not that good looking and her hair looks bent
out from sleep. We can see she isn’t young; around thirty. She
doesn’t look like the other girls walking round. We see they
have bright colourful outfits on some with knee hight socks;
others with bear legs; some have tights; some with sandals;
others with boots. Multi-coloured wigs fill the streets; some
with head bands on, others with hats.

THE CAMERA PANS TO BOY AND FRIEND. We see them walking down
the street, passing people as they are having a conversation.

Boy:
Yesterday on the street I passed the
100% girl.

Friend:
Yeah (pause)
Good looking?

Boy:
not really

Friend:
Your favourite type, then?

Boy:
I don’t know. I can’t seem to remember anything
about her.

Friend:
Strange
Boy:
Yeah. strange

Friend:
(bored)So anyhow. What did you do? Talk to her?
Follow her?

Boy:
Nah. Just passed her on the street.
