corrected placards of the Emergency Flotation System (EFS), installed in the cockpit.

1.C REASON
An incorrect wording was identified on a placard of the EFS. The operating condition
flight altitude (5000 FT) and flight speed (80 KTS) were connected with “AND” instead
of “OR”. With this ASB, Airbus Helicopters gives the instructions to install the corrected
placards.

2 MATERIAL INFORMATION
2.A MATERIAL: PRICE ‐ AVAILABILITY ‐ PROCUREMENT
Information on price and availability of required material kit SB‐117D2‐11‐010‐2C1 to
SB‐117D2‐11‐010‐2C11 will be provided by Airbus Helicopters, Dept. Spares Order
Administration on request.
The material kit required will be provided free of cost by Airbus Helicopters only within
the time limits that apply for the compliance (Section 1.E). Material that is ordered
outside the time limits given in the ASB will be charged according to the ruling prices.

2.B LOGISTIC INFORMATION

For the installation of the new placards, order only one material kit. Select the placards
in accordance with the rules of the local authorities and the national language.

3 ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
3.A GENERAL
Obey the “General recommendations for working at helicopters” (AMM 00‐10‐02, 2‐1).

3.B WORK STEPS

3.B.1 Procedure
1. Remove the emergency floats placards (1, Fig. 1) from the cockpit frame (AMM
11-00-00, 8-1). Discard all.
2. Select the placards for installation in accordance with the color of the cockpit frame.
3. Install the new emergency floats placards (1) on the same positions (AMM
11-00-00, 8-1).
