1.C REASON
The currently installed locking mechanisms for the sliding doors have door caution
indications installed. During flights, the door caution indications may give false
signals to the crew, due to the movement and vibration of the sliding doors.
With this SB, Airbus Helicopters offers the installation of new door caution
indications that will be independent from the movements and vibrations of the
sliding doors during flight.
1.D DESCRIPTION
Remove the door caution indication. Modify the cabin frame and the adjacent
helicopter structure. Install the mechanism assemblies. Do the functional test of the
sliding door proximity switches.
1.F APPROVAL
Approval of modification(s):
The information or instructions contained in this document refer to change no. 6282.
The change is approved under the authority of DOA No. EASA.21J.700.

NOTE In the following steps, the removal of the door caution indication
LH is described. The removal of the door caution indication RH is
similar.
1. Remove the upper door bracket LH (3, Fig. 1) and the proximity switch (2)
(AMM 52-70-00, 4-2).
2. Discard the upper door bracket LH (3, Fig. 1) and its attaching parts.
3. If the proximity switch (2, Fig. 1) is not damaged, put it on stock.
3.B.3 Modification of the cabin frame and the adjacent helicopter structure
NOTE In the following steps, the modification of the cabin frame LH and
the adjacent helicopter structure LH is described. The modifications
on the RH side are similar.
1. Remove and discard the edge protection (5, Fig. 1) from the helicopter
structure (1).
2. Mark the dimension of the enlarged cutout of the helicopter structure (1, Fig. 1)
in accordance with the measurements given in Figure 1 View B.
3. Use a milling head to enlarge the existing cutout. Use a vacuum cleaner so that
no drilling chips will fall into the helicopter structure.
4. Deburr the reworked edges.
5. Clean the surface around the enlarged cutout (6, Fig. 1) of the helicopter
structure (1).
6. Apply chemical conversion material (CM 316) on the reworked edges.
7. Let the chemical conversion material (CM 316) dry, refer to the manufacturer
instructions.
8. Apply primer (CM 436, CM 459, CM 472) on the surface around the enlarged
cutout (6, Fig. 1).
9. Let the primer (CM 436, CM 459, CM 472) dry, refer to the manufacturer
instructions.
