INTRODUTION

Learning present simple tense is the most important parts of english grammar tenses, and the simple
present tense is the most common verb tense in english, so it's a really important tense to learn. It is
used for several different situations in our communication.

The simple present can describe actions that happen regularly,it means things we do again and again,
things we do daily, every week, every month it can be routines and habits, and also things that are
currently, always, or true.It is important to use this tense for situation that we face daily at school,
home,wherever we are present simple is important.

CONCEPT

What does present simple tense stand for ?

Present simple tense is used to refer to events, actions, and conditions that are happening all the time,
or exist now.

The present tense is a type of tense which indicates that an action is happening right now or at the
present moment.

The present tense is used to tell what happens sometimes, all the time, or which is true , this tense is
also used when we say or suggest something.

Sentence Structure Rules

Positive statements

We use the present simple, in it's affirmative form, to confirm situations that regularly, repeatedly or
always occur.

When we use the present simple in its affirmative form, we start with the subject followed by the base
form of the verb. In the third person singular, we add an –s.

[Subject + verb (s/es) + object]

Examples:
1.Anthony writes well.

2.I never eat bananas.

3.The theatre opens at 9 o’clock.

4.Damaged roads cause many road accidents.

We use the present simple, in negative form, to deny situations that regularly, repeatedly or always
occur.

When we use the present simple in its negative form, we start with the subject followed by do not and
the verb in its base form In the third person singular, we use does not.

[Subject + do/does + not + verb + object]

1.Marta doesn’t like his classmate Jonathan’s behavior.

does.
