ASSIGNMENT 1: MEDIA ANALYSIS (25%)

Research on the media is important to identify the media trend, media consumption,
media preferences etc.

SECTION A (15%)
In a group of three (3), you are required to perform a survey that revolves around the
topic of media and society. Example: Social media preference by UniSZA’s student.

You are required to:

- Identify the topic
- Identify the objective (s)
- Develop the questions
- Prepare a short summary of your findings

Submit your report in INFOGRAPHIC FORMAT in A4 size.

DEADLINE: 8TH JANUARY 2023 (SUNDAY)

SECTION B (10%)
Produce a VLOG pertaining the result of the above finding. Your oral presentation
and creativity are two most important elements in your VLOG.

Your VLOG will be assessed based on the followings criteria:

- Verbal Communication (Clear Delivery of ideas) - 20 marks
- Verbal Communication (Confident) - 10 marks
- Verbal Communication (Effectiveness of delivery) - 10 marks
- Content - 30 marks
- Creativity - 30 marks

GROUP PROJECT (20%)

Nowadays, there are many issues pertaining to the media, either traditional or new
media. Although media is said to greatly influence society, the issues have
economically, socially, and politically affected the society.

This assignment requires you to discuss the topic in a FORUM. All group members
MUST participate in the forum.

In a group of five (5), identify ONE (1) issue pertaining to the media in Malaysia.
Discuss the:

- Background of the issue

- The implication of the issue
- Suggest solutions to solve the issue
- Any relevant information

The assignment will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
