What is ACB?
2.00 p.m -Follow manager to the company’s -An air circuit breaker (ACB) is an
substation. The manager show us the electrical switching device designed to
ACB. protect electrical circuits from
overcurrent and short circuit faults. It
uses air as the arc-extinguishing
medium to interrupt the flow of current.
ACBs are commonly used in medium to
high voltage applications and are
capable of handling larger currents
compared to smaller circuit breakers.
They offer reliable protection and are
often used in industrial and commercial
settings.

-Then the manager bring us to the
transformer station in front the
company.

to th factory.
-The manager explain about the VCB What is the vacuum circuit breaker
use for transfomer (VCB)?
-A Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) is an
electrical switching device that uses a
vacuum as the arc-quenching medium to
interrupt the flow of current in an
electrical circuit. It's designed to protect
electrical systems from overcurrent and
short circuit faults. VCBs are known for
their quick and efficient arc
extinguishing capabilities, making them
suitable for medium to high voltage
applications. They are commonly used
in power distribution networks and
substations due to their reliability and
minimal maintenance requirements.
-Then we visit the transformer station
at Plant 2

(VCB)
-Then we visit the substation for solar
panel at Plant 2

Figure 6: Inveter for Solar panel

Use of inverter.
-An inverter for solar panels is a device
that converts the direct current (DC)
electricity generated by solar panels into
alternating current (AC) electricity,
which is used in most household and
industrial electrical systems. The AC
output from the inverter can be directly
fed into the grid or used to power
appliances and devices. Inverters ensure
that the electricity produced by solar
panels is compatible with the standard
AC electrical systems, enabling efficient
use and potential integration with the
