My reason for applying to study electrical engineering is out of passion for electricity

right from my a young age of high school participate in many scientific projects. I always
wonder how the current flows through a conductor and how the simple rotation of a magnetic
material can generate electricity. This was my starting point.
Having specialized in power and machine during my electrical engineering degree
program,my passion have been to have full knowledge of how to harness various energy
system for full utilization like Solar system, Biomass, Wind, Hydro, and Geothermal energy
as well as the energy conversion and utilization to various end users like home and industry.
My industrial training program afforded me the opportunity to design energy system
controller relay for machine operation which was powered by solar panel with feedback
responses which I believe can improve efficiency and reduce downtime in the industry. The
impact on peoples’ lives is a different reason. This experience has shown that electricity and
renewable energy can be used to solve problems in many area. Advancement in sustainable
energy which is utilized in various technologies like machines, tools and equipment, control
system, lighting that is powered by sustainable electrical system serves as a motivation for
me. I have always participated in many conferences, seminars, workshops on electrical
engineering and renewable energy while following resources online to keep up to date with
the latest trends and technologies in the industry. It is my desire to continue to pursue
interdisciplinary projects in this area and to increase my knowledge in electrical engineering
and your institution provides this. As an institution, your research environment fosters
innovation.
So, with advance knowledge in this field of study by acquiring master education it will
immensely improve my capabilities as well as to larger society, expose me to more
application of this sustainable energy system. With sustainable energy still lacking in many
homes in Nigeria, I will be happy to help in bringing improve means of electricity, the
various energy system that is sustainable in my home country by providing solutions through
the use of local materials.
As it is my ambition to acquire both practical knowledge and experience along side good
understanding of researching and executing sustainable energy technologies and applications,
social impact and environmental, market reforms, supply barriers, regulation and planning to
facilitate energy development in the country and in term of economic development, electrical
system engineering involves the efficient use of clean energy to provide cheaper ways to
exploit electricity. In my field of endeavor as I study for master education in the electrical
energy system which I believe will give me the exposure to be more analytical and creative.
Applying for this course will provide an opportunity to showcase my talent. I consider this
scholarship as a great opportunity for me to increase my knowledge about the renewable
energy system and further develop skills to manage and collaborate any related field in
energy generation and utilization. Studying new things under the guidance of a highly
experience professional.
