TECHNOLOGY for TEACHING and LEARNING 1

Lesson 3
Flexibility in Learning

Name: Date:
Year/Course

A. Objectives:
At the end of this unit, you should be able to:
1. Identify and distinguish the principles of flexibility and learning.
2. Articulate the implications of these principles to learning.

Application/Assessment:

Answer the following.

1. Experience
Accommodating students with low bandwidth and/or zero Internet demands extra work.
What are your thoughts on this matter considering that no student should be left
behind?
2. Assess
In traditional learning environments, students tend to act as passive audiences, while
teachers are perceived as agents of learning. How do you think we can design
technologically mediated classes that engage the students actively and interactively?
3. Challenge
So, here is the challenge for us: What creative and strategic choices should we make in
using the technology available to us so that we can design courses that are effective or
even competitive with traditional classes? This may sound subversive, but is it
possible?
4. Harness
Research on the different flexible learning setups of three schools or universities. How
are they alike? How are they different?
