Three held with 1 kg 800 gm of heroin

-Amritsar Rural police on 12-08-2022 have arrested three with 1.8 Kg of heroin from the area of Rajetal, PS
Gharinda.

As per the directions of Hon’ble DGP,Punjab, Sh. Gaurav Yadav,IPS, Sh. Swapan Sharma , IPS, SSP, Amritsar-Rural
constituted teams under the supervision of Sh. Jugraj Singh, SP(D), Amritsar-Rural to combat with drug
smugglers.

On 12-08-2022 under the supervision of Sh. Tarsem Masih,PPS, DSP(INV),Amritsar-Rural Insp Rashpal Singh ,
incharge crime branch, Amritsar-Rural along with his party arrested three with 1.8 Kg of heroin from Rajetal
.Accused identified as Harjit Singh @ jitu S/O Nishan Singh, Karandeep Singh S/O Kulwant Singh and Kulwant
Singh S/O Jarnail Singh and they were arrested while they were out to supply heroin in the area of Gharinda.The
worth of seized heroin is approximately 3 crores in the international market.A case under NDPS act has been
registered against them. Police Initial investigation has been started and trying to trace backward and forward
linkages.

FIR detail:-

FIR No. 0144 dated 12-08-2022 u/s 21,29 NDPS Act , PS Gharinda has been registered against them.

Accused detail:-

(1) Harjit Singh @ jitu S/O Nishan Singh R/O Gharinda, Amritsar
(2) Kulwant Singh @ Kanta S/O Jarnail SinghR/O Gharinda, Amritsar is a history sheeter .
(3) Karandeep Singh @ Kalu S/O Kulwant Singh R/O Gharinda, Amritsar.
