Direction: Answer the questions brief and concise.


1. How do you promote nation building in the Philippines?
 Traditional culture in the Philippines was not actually totally extinct, maybe it
was just set aside by the people due to the modernization. However if was to
promote the nation building and trying to improve its image, I will be doing it to
social media because we all know that, social media has a new medium of
communication for the people nowadays. I would go to the places that the
culture was still alive, I will make vlogs, documentaries, take pictures of their
culture and most importantly showcase it to my social media platforms hence to
be recognize of them.

2. In what way the DOST promote nation building?


 In my opinion, DOST can promote nation building by doing improvement to the
places that our tribe people live at, also by offering them good service.
Furthermore, it can help them by upgrading their technologies that they can use
to create things that they inherited by their ancestors.

3. Who among the former Presidents of the Philippines do you like most in terms of their
contributions in science and technology in nation building? Why?
 The former president Fidel V. Ramos, because in 1987 he established the DTTB
program or known as the “The Doctor for the Barrios”, it helps the people
especially in the rural areas, because this are the areas that aren’t accessible for
healthcare’s. Also the National Program for Gifted Filipino Children, it is done
established for the aspiring students who wants to be a doctor someday.

4. Why people consider the use of technological advancement harmful on the


environment?
 As a one of the people in the world, it considered the advancement of
technology as harmful to the society, it is because the more people discovered
unknown things and think that it can help society, this is the one can harm the
environment. Improvement is not bad, but too much curiosity and advancement
could be bad not just in environment but also into the mass users.
