Dear Participants,

We are Grade 11 students of ANTONIO G. TUASON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL.

Who currently doing a research on LIVED EXPERIENCE OF A TEENAGE
MOTHER The study is a major requirement of Practical Research 1 Course. In this
regard, we would like to solicit your permission to interview you to learn more about our
problem.

If you choose to participate in this study, we will schedule a time to meet with you at
your most convenient time. During this time, we would like to ask questions concerning
(objective of the interview). This interview will take approximately (time duration). With
your permission, we would like to audiotape the interview in order to focus on the
conversation. Only The group will have access to the tape. The recordings will be
transcribed and we will remove any identifiers during the transcript. The tape will then be
erased and your identity will be kept confidential and will not be revealed in the final
manuscript.

Introduction
Good morning, (interviewee’s name). My name is (state your name) and I am presently
conducting a research about LIVED EXPERIENCES OF A TEENAGE MOTHER.
The objective of this study intends to identify the experiences of a teenage mother in
Catbalogan City.

Research Question/s:

QUESTION 1: What were your experience as a mother at such a young age?

PARTICIPANT 1: My experience as a teenage mother is not easy. as a teenage mother

there are things that I don't know and things that I needed to know.

PARTICIPANT 2: Even though it's not easy we will do what it takes for our child.

PARTICIPANT 3: not easy especially in this day our live hood is difficult and in this
difficult to live because of inflation and high prices

PARTICIPANT 4: I’m happy and it is also difficult. Happy because it's losing all my
tiredness when I see my child. Difficult because I have no companion to take care my
husband is in manila.

PARTICIPANT 5: My first experience was not easy especially the expenses for my
children because both of us don’t have any jobs and we don’t know how to be a parent.

QUESTION 2: How did you handle it? Did you regret of what happened to you?

PARTICIPANT 1: Even though it already happened, I am capable to raise my child. I

don’t have any regret because it is a blessing from god.

PARTICIPANT 2: I don’t have any regret, because we wanted to be together.

PARTICIPANT 3: I don’t have any regret because I wanted to have my own family

PARTICIPANT 4: With the help of my parents and family we were able to survive every
day. I do regret of what happened to me because my husband and I always fight. I
thought he was the one but none. Because he always abused me verbally and physically.

PARTICIPANT 5: I was able to do it because of my parents and my children. Because

they were my inspiration in my life and I don’t have any regrets that I got pregnant early
because god had given me children that I will cherish forever.

QUESTION 3: Why did this happen?

PARTICIPANT 1: It happened for a reason and we wanted to have a child.

PARTICIPANT 2: It happened because of our desire to be together.

PARTICIPANT 3: It only happened because of my parents.

PARTICIPANT 4: He was my boyfriend, but my parents wanted to separate us. For

many days my boyfriend decided that we elope from our home because my parents do
not like him. We went away and stayed there for 2 months. One day my husband cousin
went there and told us that my parents want us to go back because they already supported
us.

PARTICIPANT 5: I only did this because of my drunkenness and I was not in my right
mind.
