1.1. INTRODUCTION

Following the mandate to improve the On Time Performance (OTP), Lion Air is planning to implement
the Auto-Boarding programme. The implementation of this programme had been initiated in April 2020,
although the program is not yet fully implemented. Therefore, in April 2021 Lion Air Management is
assessing this programme thoroughly to ensure the feasibility and the applicability
of this implementation project.
The following information is describing the proposed Auto-Boarding Program issued by IOCC.

1.2. PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to establish and maintain a safe and effective operations whilst
implementing the Auto-Boarding. Objective of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to serve as
a comprehensive guideline for all Lion Air personnel and related Third-Party personnel by compiling
previous departmental procedures.

1.3. SCOPE

These procedures herein only covering operational procedures regarding auto-boarding process.
The requirements or pre-condition to conduct auto-boarding are stated in departmental guidance in

the respective chapters.

2 GUIDANCE

2.1 KONDISI YANG MEMBATALKAN AUTO-BOARDING (CANCEL)

 Significant weather condition (contoh: hujan deras disertai petir, kondisi hujan yang memerlukan
penggunaan payung untuk disembark dan boarding proses).
 Mendapat info dari Air crew bahwa ada kendala pada pesawat.
 Pesawat memerlukan membutuhkan proses pembersihan yang lebih lama (contoh: terdapat
muntahan, cairan, dll.).
 Aircraft defect yang memerlukan maintenance action baik yang berdampak pada aircraft system
maupun kondisi cabin.
 Terdapat perubahan/pergantian pesawat yang tidak direncanakan dengan alasan apapun.
 Special passenger handling (contoh: perlu pembongkaran stretcher dari penerbangan
sebelumnya atau pemasangan stretcher pada penerbangan tersebut).
 Parking different terminal / parking remote yang membutuhkan Extra boarding time (contoh:
disembark dan boarding menggunakan Apron Bus / Neoplane).
 Waiting transit passenger.
 Irregularity lainnya yang dapat menyebabkan tidak tercapainya pelaksanaan Auto-Boarding.

2.2 FLIGHT READINESS FOR AUTO BOARDING

 Aircraft ex base – Aircraft first flight of the day.


 Specific station (List of station, GSE, and radio).
 No catering late or not complete.
 Aircraft no new defect.
 Emergency equipment completed and valid.
 Flight document on board before disembark finished.
 No need deep cleaning.
 No waiting Transit Passengers.
has any problem with flight readiness, that unit will inform “HOLD BOARDING” before auto boarding
start;
 Cockpit or cabin crew – the latest is when the last passengers disembark.
 Engineer - after walk around check completed and/or receive information from cockpit crew
via interphone when aircraft block on.
 Ramp Dispatcher – when his/her area of responsibility is not ready or if receive information
from cockpit/cabin/maintenance.

2.5 KETENTUAN LAINNYA AUTO BOARDING

1. Auto boarding hanya berlaku pada penerbangan tertentu dan / atau bandara tertentu
(Daftar akan diberikan).

Auto boarding is applicable only on selected flights and/or selected airports (The list will
be provided).
2. Untuk penerbangan yang dipilih bisa melakukan auto boarding, syarat kesiapan
penerbangan harus dipenuhi.

For the selected flights can do the auto boarding, the flight readiness prerequisites have to
be fulfilled.
3. Jika kesiapan penerbangan tidak dapat dipenuhi, salah satu dari 4 unit yang terlibat dapat
membatalkan auto boarding, dengan menginformasikan unit lain “HOLD BOARDING”
sebelum auto boarding dimulai;

If the flight readiness cannot be fulfilled, one of the 4 units involved may cancel the auto
boarding, by informing the other units “HOLD BOARDING” before auto boarding start;

Flight crew
The latest to cancel auto boarding is when the last passengers disembark.
Cabin crew
After walk around check completed and/or receive information from cockpit
Engineer
crew via interphone when aircraft block on.
When his/her area of responsibility is not ready or if receive information from
Ramp Dispatcher
cockpit/cabin/engineer.

4. Saat Transit Flight Attendant harus :

2.6 GUIDANCE FOR PILOT & FLIGHT ATTENDANT

2.6.1 OPERATION CONCERN

Saat “Inflight”, SFA menginformasikan kepada PIC jika terdapat special passenger ataupun
irregularity seperti cabin maintenance.
Saat “Prepare for Arrival” Jika kondisi normal, SFA menginformasikan bahwa penerbangan
selanjutnya ready untuk Auto-Boarding.
Pilot melaporkan kondisi pesawat guna memastikan implementasi Auto-Boarding yang efektif. Pilot
Monitoring (PM) melaporkan kepada Flight Operation Office (FLOPS) via VHF Radio mengenai
beberapa hal yang mendukung pelaksanaan Auto-Boarding:

 Tidak ada technical defect;


 Tidak ada special passenger handling atau injury occupant yang membutuhkan waktu
handling cukup lama.
NOTE:

1. Jika ada technical defect atau special passenger handling yang membutuhkan waktu cukup
lama maka Auto-Boarding dibatalkan.
2. Untuk detil tugas FA akan dijelaskan paragraph selanjutnya

TAMBAHAN TUGAS FLIGHT ATTENDANT

1. Crew pada penerbangan sebelumnya (previous crew) wajib memaksimalkan proses


debarase untuk meminimalkan waktu proses cleaning pada saat didarat. Dengan melakukan
hal-hal berikut pada saat sebelum mendarat (prepare for arrival) seperti :
a) Merapikan Emergency Equipment dan checklist tersedia serta tertulis dengan benar
b) Catatan yang di perlukan crew lanjutan,
c) Kerapain service equipment,

d) Ketersediaan Toilet Amenities,


e) Kebersihan Area Cabin, Galley, Lavatory
f) Mengumpulkan sisa sampah makanan dan minuman yang berada di dalam cabin
g) FA1 memberikan announcement tambahan terkait apabila penumpang membutuhkan
kursi roda diluar dari request sebelumnya

2. FA-1 setelah melakukan check cabin after PIC command “Prepare for arrival”, wajib
melaporkan kepada PIC (confirm) ready untuk Auto Boarding, apabila kondisi sudah
memenuhi ketentuan untuk dilakukan Auto Boarding. Tentunya atas kesepakan Dan
koordinasi dengan PIC.
3. Jika terdapat Irregularities seperti cabin maintenance (new defect) yang membutuhkan
perbaikan segera ataupun kondisi cabin yang mungkin membutuhkan waktu untuk dilakukan
proses cleaning (seperti adanya muntahan di cabin). Maka FA-1 wajib melaporkan kondisi
tersebut kepada PIC.
4. Terkait irregularities yang terjadi FA-1 diminta untuk segera melaporkan kepada Chief melalui
group Telegram, ataupun Whatsapp.
5. FA-1 harus dapat mengidentifikasi dan mengantisipasi hal-hal yang menghambat
dilakukannya Auto-boarding agar tepat dalam pengambilan keputusan Auto Boarding ini.
6. Apabila Flight Attendant memutuskan untuk Hold Boarding, maka segera report kepada PIC
dan Ramp Dispatcher. Dan setelah penerbangan jangan lupa untuk mengirimkan laporan
email ke report.fa@lionair.co.id dengan judul Hold Auto Boarding

c) Ramp Officer info ke boarding gate staff bahwa akan GATE STAF
di laksanakan auto-boarding.

d) Boarding Gate staff melaksanakan:


- Pre-boarding Announcement
- Sweeping Bagasi handcarry.

dll.) dan Push Back Car Sudah ada di pesawat. Serta RAMP OFFICER,
proses Loading bagasi, cargo dan memastikan bahwa Block ON +34'

Ramp Officer waktu start and finish pelaksaan, agar menjadi analisa apa yang belum tercapai dalam
implementasi Automatic Boarding

dan melaporkan hasil monitoring Auto-Boarding di masing-masing station kepada divisi Ground

After aircraft block on/parked,


engineer/mechanic shall communicate with Engineer or Mechanic
pilot regarding aircraft status

If pilot inform that aircraft status have defect,


then engineer/mechanic inform to ramp Pilot In Command
officer that aircraft can't proceed Auto-
Boarding

If pilot inform about aircraft status is normal,


engineer/mechanic perform walkaround Engineer or Mechanic
check

If during walkaround check found defect or


finding, then engineer/mechanic inform to Engineer or Mechanic
ramp officer that aircraft can't proceed Auto- and Ramp Officer
Boarding

If during walkaround check result no


finding, then engineer/mechanic inform to Engineer or Mechanic
ramp officer that aircraft ready for Auto- and Ramp Officer
Boarding

Perform refueling with passenger onboard


i.a.w LMPM chapter 5.8. In case no
headset available, refueling proceed with 2 Engineer or Mechanic
persons in charge. 1 person at refueling
station and 1 person at position that visible
by cockpit crew
