APPLICATION METHOD

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate should be thoroughly cleaned, devoid of dust, loose particles, formwork oil, grease and other contaminations that may

affect the adhesion.

The suction in the background should be neutralized by applying potable water just before laying the screed.

Free water on the surface should be allowed to disperse before screeding.

MIXING & APPLICATION

Floor Screed SC supplied in 50 kg bags must be mixed with potable water only, in a clean plastic bucket or a clean,

non-corrosive, uncontaminated metal tub. To ensure a homogenous and uniform mix, a mechanical mixer must be used.

The amount of water to be added is 7 ltrs per 50 kg bag for SC200 (i.e. approximately 14% by weight) and 5 ltrs per 50 kg bag for

SC200/10 (i.e. approximately 10% by weight). Add Screed to water in the mixer and mix till a homogenous mix is obtained. No further

water should be added to the mix. Hard and set mortar should not be mixed or used.

Screeding should be carried out in accordance to the relevant standards and code of practice.

SPECIAL NOTES

It is essential to properly water cure the applied Screed for a minimum period of 2 days (3-4 times daily).

For application procedure in case of concrete containing micro silica, GGBS, curing compound or any special additive, kindly contact

Conmix technical department for assistance.

Bonding agent (Fitbond SBR/EA) or reinforcement can be used if specified.

STORAGE

Conmix Floor Screed SC must be stored in a dry place, off the ground and well covered. Hard or lumpy material must be rejected.
