MR.DRY ® 701
MR.DRY 701 is a superior waterproofing additive for concrete. It improves cohesion and
compaction of concrete along with superplasticising effect and seals the whole mass of
concrete using crystalline waterproofing technology.
Specification:
The crystalline waterproofing & super plasticizing powder admixture for concrete shall be
MR.DRY 701; it is a unique additive for concrete that improves the cohesivity of concrete mix
with reduced need of compaction. It has super plasticizing effect that removes need of
additional water required for placing of concrete thus eliminating any need of admixtures. It
also forms pore blocking crystal fibers which permanently waterproofs treated concrete along
with achieving an optimum level of cohesion with controlled bleeding thus forming a perfect
concrete for your structural need.

Uses:
▪ Any concrete mix requiring waterproofing.
▪ Tunnels and subway systems.
▪ Bridges & Marine structures.
▪ Foundations, Basements, and elevator pits.
▪ Water and wastewater structures.
▪ Parking structures, Swimming pools.

Advantages:
▪ Superior waterproofing additive.
▪ Resists positive and negative hydrostatic pressure.
▪ Improves Cohesion with controlled bleeding.
▪ Shrinkage compensated.
▪ Increases concrete strength.
▪ Can seal cracks up to 0.4mm.
▪ Increases freeze/thaw resistance of concrete.
▪ Super plasticizing effect which in good flow and compaction.

▪ Non-toxic, Chloride free.

▪ Possess Water Holding ability.
▪ Absorbs of heat of hydration.
▪ Corrosion Inhibitor.
▪ Maintains pH of Concrete.

Typical Properties:
Appearance Free flowing powder
pH >6
Chloride ion content < 0.2%
Water Permeability Controlled mix: 9 X 10-7 cm/sec
MR.DRY 701 mix: 5 X 10-11 cm/sec
Volatile organic content 0 gm/lit.

*Note: The above was obtained from a constant workability mix containing 300 kg/m3 of type
1 Portland cement with a 0.53 water/cement ratio mix using 3% of MR.DRY 701 powder by
weight of cement. A 6% strength increase at 28 days was also observed. Strength increases
can be as high as 15% at constant water/cement ratio.

Packaging:
MR.DRY 701 is supplied in 0.5 Kg pack

Coverage:
Ensure that W/C ratio of concrete does not exceed 0.55 before MR.DRY 701 Powder is added
▪ Use 1 Pouch of MR.DRY 701 per 50 Kg bag of cement

Curing:
Curing of concrete containing MR.DRY 701 is same as like normal concrete curing.

Application procedure:
Direction for use: -
Add MR.DRY 701 powder to the batch with the cement. MR.DRY 701 powder will accelerate
the setting of concrete & it is recommended that a retarder is used.

Carrying out trial mixes under conditions to determine setting time & strength of the concrete
is recommended. Correct mix design is essential to achieve a watertight concrete.
Before application, test for compatibility with any other admixtures to be used in the mix.
Concrete should be placed no later than 45 min. after the addition of MR.DRY 701 powder
unless a retarder is added to the mix.
Storage and Shelf life:
MR.DRY 701 must be stored where temperatures do not drop below +5°C. If product has
frozen, thaw at +5°C or above and completely reconstitute using mild mechanical agitation.
Store under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. Shelf life
is 9 months when stored as above.

Safety precautions:
As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact
with eyes, mouth, skin and foodstuffs (which can also be tainted with vapour until product
fully cured or dried). Treat splashes to eyes and skin immediately. If accidentally ingested,
seek immediate medical attention. Keep away from children and animals. Reseal containers
after use. Do not reuse containers for storage of consumable item.
