Assessment of cognitive ability
6 years and zero months to 16 years and 11 months
Obtain a comprehensive assessment of general cognitive
functioning and may also be used to identify outstanding
intelligence, mental retardation, and cognitive abilities
and weaknesses.
The ideal range is between 65 to 80 minutes
It is important to try to apply the battery in a single
session. If the evaluated person presents fatigue and two
sessions have to be used, the time should not pass more
than one week from the first application.

 The evaluator must have mastery of the test and
practice is necessary to get used to the application
procedure.
 Master the mechanical aspects of the application
and recording of results.
 The application and qualification rules stipulated in
the test manual must be respected.
 Apply the test without the presence of parents or
guardians.
 Treat the child with an attitude of trust.
 Try to avoid saying the name intelligence test.
 If necessary, a break can be given at the end of the
subtests.
 The meaning of the test should not be altered with
the evaluator's instructions and speech. The test
comes with some standardized phrases that can be
modified depending on the context.
 Enthusiasm must be shown and the child must be
encouraged before the test .
