Firstly, we would like to thank you for the participation of DILG-NCR’s personnel to the
Orientation on the Mahusay at Tapat: Yardstick for Accountable Governance (MATYAG)
held on May 23, 2023. Their inputs during the open forum were used in improving the
MATYAG tools.

As discussed and agreed during the said orientation, we would like to share with you the
MATYAG online forms/materials that will be utilized for the pilot testing, through this

Moreover, please be informed of the following:

1. The online survey forms (Annex A) are comprised of the following:

A.1. Survey on the Paramount Problems in the Barangay
A.2. Survey on Notable Practices
A.3. Survey on the Priority Capacity Development Interventions Needed by
the Barangay

2. The abovesaid online forms shall be accomplished from May 29 to June 9, 2023,
by a total of ten (10) respondents, five (5) of which are elected or appointed
barangay officials, and five (5) of which are from the general public, coming
from the barangays that will be selected for the pilot testing. Said barangays
shall be identified by our DILG Field Officers, following these criteria:

3. Also attached is the Annex B: Barangay Rapid Validation Checklist (BRVC).

However, please be reminded that this form is not required to be accomplished
by the barangays. This will be utilized by the MATYAG Teams, coming from the
Office of the Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs (OUSBA) and this Bureau,
during the onsite validation, but we are sending an advance copy to inform the
selected barangays of the MOVs that they have to prepare during the onsite
validation.
