the following:

how to provide culturally safe care. I will also be open to feedback from Indigenous clients
on my care.

This strategy is significant because Indigenous Elders and cultural advisors are experts in
Indigenous culture and health. They can provide nurses with valuable insights into the needs
of Indigenous clients and how to provide care that is respectful and culturally appropriate.
In addition to these two strategies, I will also continue to learn about Indigenous culture and
the needs of Indigenous clients. I will also be mindful of my own biases and assumptions, and
be willing to challenge them.

I believe that it is important for nurses to be self-reflective and to challenge their own biases.
By doing so, we can provide culturally competent care to all clients, regardless of
background.
