Mefenamic Acid 500mg 1CAP Q6*

Action
Classification/Acti on: Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) Mechanism of Action: Produces antiinflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects, possibly through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Indication
Relief of moderate pain when therapy will not exceed one week.

Contraindication
Contraindicated with hypersensitivity to mefenamic acid, aspirin allergy, and as treatment of preoperative pain with coronary artery bypass grafting.

Adverse Effect
Blood: Leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia. CNS: Drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, headache. CV: Edema EENT: Blurred vision, eye irritation. GI: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, peptic ulceration, hemorrhage. GU: Dysuria, hematuria, nephrotoxicity Hepatic : Hepatotoxicity Skin: Rash, urticaria.
