LEADERSHIP QUALITY RELEVANT IN SAM MANEKSHAW
Physical courage – Manekshaw was never afraid of facing toughest situations and it’s a
great sign of a good leader too that it motivates its subordinates also to participate in
future action plan.
2) Transparency – Field marshal Manekshaw had a clear vision about the Indian army, and
he was more open to goals that lead its subordinates to understand the roles and
responsibility more clearly. He also ensures to have a clear mindset and engagement of
every individual towards particular aim.
3) Integrity – This characteristic of leadership means treating all employees fairly. This
characteristic was highly possessed by field marshal manekshaw and he too believes
that if a good leader can behave in decisive manner, then whole members of the team
will feel united, and they will uphold the spirit of team and organization. So, he also
ensures to have a good interpersonal relationship with the team members.
4) Motivation – Sam manekshaw believers that a good leader possesses a good
motivational skill that empower the internal zeal employees towards its work and it ‘s
found that most of the employees feels stress and demotivated when they didn’t
achieve their aim. Manekshaw worked on this part and he never let any members to
change their strategic plan or unfollow the tracks

Sam Manekshaw leadership style been clearly justified by Transformational style of leadership
Also, he was able to build a strong relationship with soldiers that he knew each and
every one ‘s needs and he communicated well about strategic plans and also invited its
members to come up with new ideas.
Sam manekshaw possessed a strong physical courage that he never ran away from
taking a challenging task and that motivated his subordinates to work collectively and
encouraged them to go beyond their comfort zone.
