TASK 1. READ THIS PROFILE OF A STUDENT NURSE. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING IN
COMMON WITH HER?

Rossitza bontcheva is a nursing student studying to get her nursing diploma. She chose
nursing because she is passionate about science and loves working with people. After she
studies and gets experience working with children during her first study placement she
wants to become a child nurse because she also loves children. When she was watching
television showing a children's hospital in india she insisted that one day she could work in
a children's hospital in india like the one she saw on television. Rossitza is also a good
person, outgoing, sociable, good at talking to people so that people are comfortable with
her. Outside the nursing field rossitza is also good at playing guitar and dancing so when
there is free time and weekends rossitza often does her hobby. She always lives to be
balanced so she always enjoys what she is doing right now.
The similarities i have are some of the same as rossitza, that is i like small children and my
personality is also almost similar to hers. We are also both studying to get a nursing degree,
the difference is that rossitza is taking her diploma degree while i have an s,kep ners degree.
But for the reason why we chose to become nurses we are very different because in the past
i actually wanted to be a korean language transalator because of my fondness for korean.
Because my family did not agree and according to them i was better off being a nurse so i
still took nursing school. Until now i work as a nurse in one of the hospitals in jakarta. I'm
also trying to enjoy the work that i'm doing now and starting to like my job as a nurse
because i can get a lot of experience and knowledge and can be brought together with
people who have the same fate as me and support each other. Even for hobbies, we are
different because i prefer to enjoy something that i like such as watching, reading, listening
to music that i think is good to hear. Occasionally when i have free time i will do what i
enjoy to reduce stress and boredom while working.

Melati is an icu nurse who works at abdi waluyo hospital, she has worked for 4 years in the
icu room. She is also currently working while studying to get her skep, ners degree at
binawan university.

Actually she didn't want to be a nurse at first because of her family's request she chose to be
a nurse. But over time she started to enjoy her job as a nurse because she made new friends,
new experiences and new knowledge especially in this icu room. Even though it's hard and
high risk working in the icu room she really enjoys the job while still learning because there
are many friends who help her to develop. She is also a good person and always tries to help
his friends if they ask for help.

Even though it's hard to study while working, she occasionally does hobbies that she really
likes, namely watching dramas or movies, she also likes culinary especially korean food. In
her spare time she will do what makes her happy so she doesn't get too stressed.
