Dear Scholarship Committee:

My name is RaeAnn Snider, and I think I am a great candidate for the __________ scholarship.
I am a senior at York High School and plan to attend Wayne State College majoring in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. I have the work ethic and skills
necessary to succeed in and after college.

My success in and out of school has proven that I am prepared for college and a great
candidate for this scholarship. I will graduate with 34 college credit hours and have also been
part of many state championships and titles. I have participated in FBLA, FFA, Skills USA,
Speech, One-act, and National Honor Society all throughout high school. I have been a part of
three state championship teams and two state runner-up teams with one act and speech. I have
earned a state championship and state runner-up title individually in Skills USA as well as went
to nationals and got 11th. I have been able to place 4th individually at the State Leadership
Conference for FBLA. I have volunteer experience through the York Adopt-A-Pet, National
Honors Society, and Faith Lutheran Church. These experiences will all benefit me in college and
even beyond that.

I want to go into Human Resources because I feel like I can help so many people and make
sure they all feel safe in the workplace. I have been able to do multiple shadowing opportunities
to make sure that it is really the career I want to pursue, and the minute I shadowed human
resources at NPPD, I knew that it was the right decision for me. I have also been taking all the
business classes that I can to make sure that I am fully prepared for college and my major.

I am applying for this scholarship because I am paying for college myself. My parents will be
sending two kids to college at the same time since we are twins and still paying off their own
college loans. I am one of four kids so my parents do not have the financial means to pay for
any of us to college. Though they are here as moral support, I would love to have financial
backing in a way other than a full loan.

This scholarship would help allow me to pay my way through Wayne State College Majoring in
Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. This would allow me to pursue
my own business. Thank you for your time and consideration as well as for offering me this
amazing scholarship opportunity.
